As a semi-competent computer user, I have the distinct experience of having been on both sides of this. I have been the poor soul trying to teach their grandmother how to use 'The Google', and I have been the absolute idiot trying to figure out WTF I did to destroy my computer. While these are all super cringe-worthy, they're also kind of funny (only kind of). To the tech-literate people whose blood is already starting to boil: I apologize in advance.

The favourite at my office, is I haven't had any emails all day, and I'm waiting for one. Would help if they left the damn email program open, then they might see them :/

Quite often we get something along the lines of
User: I haven't had an email in the last 5 minutes, is our internet broken?
Me: No, not that I am aware of it is working fine for everyone else, are you expecting a particular email from someone? I can check and see if their domain has been blacklisted by our servers.
User: No I just find it highly unlikely that I wouldn't have been sent an email for such a long period of time
Me *hangs up*

Yeah. Or whens the email/interenet server is down and you get half a dozen phone calls from the same part of the office asking if its down :/

Yip, my fave is when someone emails you to ask if the emails are working, or calls to ask if the phone is working...

Or the person who can't get it that not every type of document opens in excel. :/ The number of times they've called me that they can't open a document and its not compatible with excel :/

I'm good with computers but I try my best to never help anyone. Once you've helped someone they will ALWAYS bring their computer problems to you. It's like feeding stray cats
