Don't forget your MAHO FIST ლ(ಠ_ಠლ)
Let's save the 22k for DoD order votes and have the Armed Forces troops start voting them up daily in exchange for the ridiculous amount of our taxpayers dollars that they receive, surely there are a few hundred of them combined, and surely, they can each take the time to hit a vote button daily?
Give the 22k to the Interior for retention programs/events
What she said 😁😁
I agree with Bia
Really? It's come to buying DoD votes? God gosh almighty. Wow. That truly sucks.
Welcome to "the government can run everything better than everyone else" Candor. *rolls her eyes*
Remember the days when the real eUS Military didn't have to buy votes
LOL
Lines U1 and U8 should be each cut by 88%; Line U4 needs salient breakdown and be cut in half.
Given current wages tax revenue per week simply cannot bear 2M per week.
God..
What a waste of money.
Anyone else remember when the eUS government didn't pay people to do things? What happened to those days?
rabble rabble
The USAF does vote up the DoD orders. But given that the top 5 typically require 500+ votes now, and that we don't have 100% participation, we buy votes.
The WHPR also buys votes.
How many votes are bought per day, I'd like to go back and look and see just how many of these troops are "participating", then look at MU sizes for them all. 1.6 million dollars a week given to them? I think that should buy a more active participation, considering every USAF mu has over 100 members 500 votes should be easy right? Or are most of them dead and accurate numbers of active players not being given to congress when the budget is decided?
Outrage of the day. There are bigger fish to fry imo.
100,000 gold tanking? Is that what ppl like Oblige and Fluffer?
Please explain....
ST6 - 150 members (I know these guys are active because they kick ass)
Special Forces - 109 members
Rogue Squadron - 85 members
Air Force - 268 members
Flight Training - 102 members
UltraMarines - 70 members
Minus a couple of dead guys prolly sitting in there - still over 500
Plus the rest of us = NO reason to pay for votes.
PiZ - the shady BS all started as small fish we shouldn't pay any attention to because there are bigger fish to fry. Facts are facts.
Actually Bia we proposed that in Congress during our discussion before we voted. Also we said we would keep the budget the way it is for now and also work on getting the USAF and MU's to vote on it to see if it was even possible to not have to buy votes.
How many votes are bought per day Bunny?
I dont know the specifics on how many votes are bought per day. But i can promise you ill try to find out.
Also, does Congress realize that you are basically giving a budget of 22,000 a week to Poland, to Voters club?
Trust me, it's possible, it just takes effort on a daily basis from the units to simply open the article, click vote, and comment "voted for st6" etc. If it helps, have the officers check the daily thread and if the troop requesting supplies didn't vote, no supplies. Believe me, the votes will blow up
I know this for fact, because back when I was JCS we started getting less than 200 votes per day on the DoD, and the CJCS threatened to cut branch budgets, and I made a case to let us try ordering the troops to do it first, and it worked. It actually became like a contest between branches to see how many comments each had. After awhile it became a habit. I still look to vote them daily.
We know that was part of the discussion but we weren't gonna give no money to buy votes without knowing if the USAF and the MU's votes would be enough. TBH it wouldn't be this way to begin with if everyone and their mother didn't buy votes in the first place. And to mention most are on stupid articles. All i know is Potato134 is the only AMP PP Candidate that didn't buy votes for those stupid pointless articles that don't need to be in the top 5.
I mean i love Kara Beth but does her interview really need to be in the top. I wouldn't mind if it was there with just the votes people put on not with buying votes though. The main problem here isnt congress and this budget it is the american people who feel the need to buy votes instead of doing it the honest and just way. This will always be a problem until that is fixed.
I hear ya. If supplies are withheld until votes and comments are up, I guarantee that every active member of the military will be voting every day that they want supplies.
As a little social experiment, you get me some gold and I'll offer it as a prize to the non-government funded MU with the highest vote per member ratio, and I will show you what a little cash can get people to do. If you want to give away money, lets prize it to our own citizen mus with the highest vote ratio per week.
This is about wasting money instead of requesting that our official military take the small responsibility of supporting the DoD for the large budget that they receive.
100,000 gold tanking? Is that what ppl like Oblige and Fluffer?
Please explain.... X2
Chance, good point. This has always been a problem.
We wouldn;t have to buy votes if the American people didn't buy the votes themselves its that simple. I agree that 22,000 is a lot of money to be requisitioned to buy votes. But at the moment it is the only way. I put the article out there every time it up and ask people to vote on it. Problem is people don't give a flying duck about the DOD. People are constantly going against the DOD because they have a higher purpose or some other amount of bull. There is many issues that need to be handled.
Everyone is so set on pointing the finger at the government. Take a look at yourself in the mirror every once in a while and ask if you've done enough for your country. This is not at any one person but to eUS as a whole.
" Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."
100,000 gold tanking? Is that what ppl like Oblige and Fluffer receive?*
Please explain....
Bunny listen to me, I have experience with this. We cannot make people stop buying votes, but we CAN:
-Tell the USAF branches their budgets will be cut if they do not start voting up the DoD.
-STOP giving a weekly budget to our enemies.
-Offer the cash we are currently giving to our enemies to the non-gov funded MUs, per vote or as a prize for highest vote per player in MU ratio.
This takes more effort than ordering votes, but its a win/win for our citizen participation.

And yes, the eUS Military, my unit the Marines, and myself have done enough for this country. This is a reasonable argument, please don't turn this into a STFU you don't matter thing.
Bia I am not arguing that point at all. I agree and i will do what i can to make this right!
Thanks, darlin, that's all I'm asking.
I also stated that the statement wasn't to anyone in particular but to the eUS as a whole. If you've done your part then good for you. Obviously that statement wasn't meant for you.
To be fair to all, you do realize that citizens have the right to speak regarding any issue to their Congress representatives regardless of their participation, right? I mean, this is why you are elected after all. < 3
No i agree and i think the budget should be up in the eUS forums for public discussion as well as the current private discussion. I think we need other perspectives other than our own. I am fighting for that as well. But i am only one person. As you can see I don't see any other Congressman or women talking here. It appears to only be me.
many will not go there. A thread there is basically giving the decision to a small percentage of players. Make an article, you'll get a more rounded view of player thoughts.
Both are being discussed.
Well, if it makes you feel better, I respect that you took the time to address this without being asked, and I assure you that many others will as well. We need people like you that make an effort again.

I vote up DoD orders every day, then fight where my CO Starry tells me to 😛
Pretty sad, that the gov't has to buy article votes, tells me the majority of USAF types are there strictly for the handouts, not the camraderie and fun of an awesome MU...the reason eUS Marines are eUS Marines. We get stuff, but we get it because we work together to make it happen. eh, whatever, random musings. Proceed with paying for whatever now.
Are these figures in actual USD, or cc USD?

I always kinda thought that the budget was somewhat more confidential than this fwiw. And Bia, that the sheer unit numbers were equally confidential? But things change, and I've been gone a long time.
Not on topic I suppose, but this will always be my in the back of my mind, I'd sure like to see those 500 under one umbrela again one day. Meh.
Double post: I am glad to see an active discussion of the budget, that's rare and kinda cool tbh.
The comments of this article are lol-able.
If there are two things you can always find in article comments, it's ignorance and trolls.
Obligatory: "Hur dur"
Are we ignoring the fact that the game has changed just a wee tiny bit in the last year or two? I mean, units have DOs, there are civilian units and catch-alls like the Army unit, and there is a nation-wide Campaign of the Day that can be changed at will. So, the DoD is just a little less relevant than it may have once been.
Less relevant, yes, but still relevant for those players who do not have an MU yet. Having the USAF vote them is also a good way to bring those people in, if that makes it look more desirable to you.
