Arguable all 3, depending on your perspective
or maybe just B
its not B
I think the water will rise a bit as the amount of water displaced by the boat will go down.
Actually that means the level would go down so C
correct, well done.
What's the weight and porosity of the rock?
the rock is more dense than the water.
Depends whether the density of the rock is greater than the density of water.
it does and the rock is more dense than the water
If the rock is more dense, it will displace more water by pushing down on the boat than it will by occupying a space under the water, therefore the water level would fall.
correct
its B you are already holding the rock
but when you drop the rock, the water level will change
If you are in a swimming pool I doubt it would change the rock is too small , you are already using the weight of the rock in the boat.and when you throw it in, the water could go out of the pool. its B
size of rock is not important, that its density is more than water is the only important factor, and if we allowed water to splash out of the pool then then that alone would mean water level goes down
It would stay the same 😊
the water level will change
Simple transfer of water displaced by person ,rock and boat to displaced water from rock and lighter boat so:-
B
some key words used but no it is not B
Its between B or C
I assume its C because the weight would be more evenly distributed than when it was concentrated all in the boat?
But this is a good one!
hmm, it is c, but kinda the opposite way to what you said, in boat the rock displaces its weight, while in the water it displaces its volume.
What is the average air speed velocity of a laden swallow?
