tl;dnr: I am back, and looking for some good people to help keep the CPF awesome

Day 1,969, 12:48 Published in Canada Canada by Randall Flagg 1999

First off, a big thanks to those that welcomed me back to the CPF. I've been in a somewhat self imposed exile for some time now and I understand it will take me some time to get my political legs back; but I assure you this will not be an impediment as I am already getting in contact with those in the party most able to assist me in the day to day affairs.
To this end my first act will be utilizing to the fullest extent the "party jobs" made available by the game. Since our party tries to uphold the mechanics of the game, it makes sense to use these roles to bolster the party.

So here is my vision for these roles.

Vice Party President

This person will take point in aiding congressional selection. While I will still have final say, the VPP will be instrumental in looking over my list and making proposals. They would also be my main sounding board for ideas, but this is a two way street, my VPP will have to also be vocal in tossing ideas my way to help improve the party. And of course, should I have to duck out due to RL, I will hand over the party to them until I can return.

Secretary General

For secretary general I will need a good organizer; because I want the Secretary General to take point on membership. The job will boil down to keeping track of new members and make sure they are properly welcomed, as well as asking people who leave why they did so. I will be helping them coming up with a few membership incentives such as the odd contest as well as party surveys to see how we can better serve both them, and our country.

Councillor

I used to give this position to and older member who has been around the block a few times. I like to think of this job as a "god-father" kind of role. They are there for advice for myself and any in the party looking for help. As well I would like to use them as a diplomat of sorts to help with intra-party relations.

And finally The Spokesperson.

To be spokesperson I will need an active writer from within the party. I will start by publishing most of our statements, but I hope to hand this off to the spokesperson once they adjust to the role. From there I can promote their articles in the Moose Call party message threads as well as in my own articles. This will also help whoever is in this role to get their paper out there.

This is all I have to say today, there will be more tomorrow night!
