dear comrade jofroi,
first of all i suppose u not only tolerate the freedom of speech but u accept it and even support it publickwide anytime and for anyone. u wouldnt deny anyone the right to freely write what they think, would u?
with the truth value of the subjected message put aside, ur argumentation in the proposal to the ebelgium court against wim vercauteren is quite FLAWED. the message was a private message between individuals. why should one care, what they do in their bedrooms? in any case it was NOT ADDRESSED TO A FOREIGN REPRESENTATIVE. it reached him a very dubious way.
i strongly believe, that your proposal is grand misunderstanding, and u've done it by an accident, in a really moved state of mind, or under the strained pressure. squealing on your fellow comrade at the bourgeois court is highly counter-productive and reactionary. i pretty much advise u to correct this failure as soon as possible and revoke this unwise action.

There are limits to freedom of speech, but IF there is proof that a particular person has crossed those limits, there are probably better venues to address that. And indeed, one may say privately things that one cannot and should not say in public. If those private communications are shared, then there is more than person at fault legally.
there is a freedom of speech, or there is none. nothing inbetween these two states. its absolute. or it doesnot exist at all. (besides, words arent hurting, the actions r)
but this is mostly about the errors and inaccurate proposal with poor argumentation. the "thoughtpolice" attitudde of some pple is "only" disturbing and its the issue of their clear/bad conscience

Fhaemita, yes it has boundaries... but you're talking about "public freedom of speech" !! And as far as I know, this wasn't the case. The same words, whether they are said in public or in private, can be delictuous or not. It's completly irrelevant to argue about "the freedom of speech limits" in the case you're talking to a friend in your living room. 😁

There's no freedom of speech as those who wish for the freedom to insult others or deny history are those that are to blame for some of the major conflicts that happened in the world. As Elynea said, your freedom stops where that of another person starts.
