Story of a won battle !

Day 3,333, 02:13 Published in Belgium Republic of Moldova by Jeiry
Belgium... Dictatorship... That dirty war wasn't a good sign.

I woke up that morning and a dictatorship war had just began a pair of hours ago. I'm watching the Newspapers and... nothing. Not a single word about what's going on. Well, I wasn't even surprised : it's been some times that eBelgium isn't really (pro)active any more. That didn't help me understanding the purpose of the war and knowing what to do. But well, without informations, it was obvious I would fight on the eBelgium regular side.

So I checked on who was online and I sent some messages. Nobody really seemed to precisely know what was going on. And nobody seemed to really challenge it on the war field : it was already the 2nd fight and we were loosing everything, very few fighters were making damages on our side (just 1-2 strangers fighting to get medals or some dictator forces lost on the wrong side).

Actually, it had been quite a long time that I was saving some fighting forces (more than a 1.000 energy bars, and so on) and I knew I could hurt a bit despite of my weak rank and strength. But in this e-World, for eBelgium, things are getting kinda quiet these years and I wasn't sure that I would have another chance to spend these forces in a challenging war, that we deserve to fight for. So that was decided... I would give the hell of a fight in this war. Let's go !

In the second round, I just fought "Muhammad Ali style" : I hit a bit when it was close to 50% to check what was going on and how the opponents would react, without spending too much... While keeping talking with some belgian fighters to try to understand the situation and motivate some people.

At that stage, after 2 rounds : we lost all battles on almost all divisions, no real belgian reaction, a dictatorship side that looked like well-prepared and ready to be strong... The odds were clearly against us and everybody (including me) was already thinking the dictatorship side would win at the end.

But anyway, I decided to "go all-in" no matter what...

"eKux", a stranger fighting for medals, began pretty strong. I send a message to the poor "eKux" to apologize, explaining I didn't really care of the medals, but I would fight as much as necessary to win this round, regardless to the shiny rewards. He looked like I was crazy.

And we did... Thanks to other strong belgian fighters who showed up at the right place, at the right time : Jofroi (our eternal true dictator), Ernest Bogdansson (who gave the best he could), lcurlybear, Director9 (who kept his forces for later), ... (sorry for the other divisions, I don't remember).

After this magical third round, which started a new hope and the belgian forces awakening, we were still losing 8 to 25 (I think). The aircraft round was coming : that would decide of the issue of the war. The 3rd round was the turning point, the 4th round would be the decisive one.

I didn't do much on that one, but the whole belgian side did an awesome job. And it was also a battle for foreigners' help with big amount of Combat Orders sets (Jofroy did a great job). At the same time, the Newspapers finally woke up to call everybody for the fight.

It was hard. It was dirty. But we won the air fight.

The rest went more smoothly. It looked like the Dictator's side had got a big hit on the head. Jofroy secured the 5th round and I secured the 6th, but no big resistances in front of us.

I wasn't there for the rest of the war, but I think it went alright for belgian forces. The war was ours.

Close to the end, the overall damages looked like this :

This was obviously my personal view of the story (and exclusively on the division 4). Sorry for those I didn't mention and who brought important help. No doubt many people have things to tell.
So thank you to each one who fighted for eBelgium. After the first two battles, it really looked like we were going to lose it. Then we did it. That was great.

...

But... I also want to thank Black Panther II. Yes, yes, really, without irony.

Because he was a great "opponent" on the field, fun to fight against. Sometimes, it almost looked like it was "him against the rest of the world" (with all respect to other fighters). During the war, I even sometimes felt bad for him.

And thanks to this war, we had a great fight to start 2017 !! Really... It's been a long time we didn't have so much fun in eBelgium, and it also brought some activity. Glad to have seen some old people back for a good old fight !! Glad to have talked with belgian fighters to coordinate my hits !! Glad to have fought on something worthy !! It'd been a real long time...
