Stand and Deliver for America

Over the last couple of days, and increasingly even in the last couple of hours, there has been a flurry of media and forum discussion surrounding the many possible Party PTO attempts which may take place over the next 26 hours. Will it be the UIP? Or the AAP? Or the Federalists? Or even the USWP?
My sincere conviction is that it will not happen, because I believe in you, my fellow eAmericans.
Not that an attempt may not be made, but that that attempt will be unsuccessful because of a simple, but overwhelming defense that we possess as a nation. Regardless of the strength or numbers of our foes, when the chips are down, partisan ideologies and passions become nothing more than the color commentary on the decided victory of eUS will over partisan division.
At no time do we more exemplify our identity as a nation, the eUNITED States of America, than when we are focused on the common goal of blocking an assault on our sovereignty.
Now is the time for calm focus.
Now is the time to for singular resolve.
Now is the time for us to be the eUNITED States of America in the face of a threat, no matter how inadequate or overwhelming that threat may appear.
In the next 26 hours, the evidence of our desire to unify for a common ideology of nation over party politics will be put to the test, and we must deliver. I must deliver. You must deliver. Our nation must deliver.
Regardless of your party affiliation, even in the face of having to vote for a candidate for Party President for a party that you have dedicated three articles a day in the media to reducing to a quivering jelly, you must deliver.
Even if you are dedicated to the overturning of the Conservative Party, you must stand and deliver.
Even if you despise the United States Workers Party, you must stand and deliver.
Even if you hate the United Independents Party, you must stand and deliver.
Even if you consider America’s Advancement Party to be a bane on your existence, you must stand and deliver.
Even if you would write a post every day belaboring the actions of the Libertarians, you must stand and deliver.
As a nation, we may not recognize the target until late Monday night, but that does not matter. We must stand together, hold our votes and focus on unified defense of eUS control of the major parties of the nation.
To this end, we must stay focused on the goal. While on Tuesday morning we may, en masse, return to our regular media, forum and IRC schedule of berating the ideas and efforts of our opposition party of choice, for the next 26 hours we must unite in the common cause of defense for our political sovereignty as a nation.
I encourage you to vote this article up so that I may update the returns to provide that we, as a nation, may recognize any PTO targets as they materialize throughout the day. If you cannot bring yourself to support this effort, focus on maintaining contact with your primary Party communications channels, and follow their direction for Party PTO defense. Beware of distractions or propaganda from any other, seemingly credible, source. The only avenue for hostile PTO victory is division and confusion, therefore we must, as one nation, combine our strength to thwart any efforts to that end.
For one day, let us be a nation of resolve rather than rhetoric.
Let us be a nation that puts aside partisan rhetoric for common purpose. And, who knows? Perhaps after the storm has passed we will find it a better alternative, and a better course for our nation…and it will become a habit that endures.
Let us be the eUNITED States of America, if only for a single day. Let us deliver a single, united message to those that think us “too divided”, and for those that think us “too weak”, to put aside our political differences to stand united for sovereignty: “You cannot win, because we will fight as one nation regardless of our differences.”

I'm with you. Won't it be funny if they really arent going to do anything at all? I'm curious to see what goes down but I can't help but wonder if maybe it's all a big joke. I almost hope something does happen. I'm a little bored. But I have faith in us. Voted.

There will be some confusion today.
We were called out by Glados for an assault, either militarily or politically.

Some US political parties have been warned of possible PTO's. That would make life in the US over the next month very interesting, but perhaps more interesting than we want.
The Marines also have a very important RW going on in Central Greece, a high iron region.
If we can liberate that region-- well, Greece is an allied country. That is a game-changer.
Or, we could be looking at a military attack on Florida from Portugal, or on Alaska from Russia.
This seems unlikely, as it would activate a bunch of MPP's with our friends, the Canadians, the UK, Romania, and Croatia (which has become surprisingly large) amongst others.
A couple words of advice to my fellow Americans:
1) have plenty of plane tickets and weapons on hand. You may want to vote in one country, and fight in another. For the first time since I can remember, both are cheaper in Spain than in the US. If you can, buy your stuff in Spain.
2) Wait. I know it's hard to be patient, but watch how the RW in Central Greece goes, write down when it ends, and, of course, watch for an attack on the US.
3) Vote smart, and vote late. I would suggest around 11:30 pm on the 15th. By then, we will have a good idea of whether a US party presidency is under a serious foreign threat. Don't vote later than 11:30pm, because the server has a history of crashing when traffic is heavy.
4) Don't panic. There is every reason to believe America will stronger and more prosperous in 48 hours. Our enemies want to instill fear in us. Don't let them.
We're Americans, and we are not easy to intimidate.

However, with everyone "Standing and delivering," I can't help but think of this as a giant orgy (with all the guys standing up, of course).

You're 100% right Ananias, if people don't work to protect the top 5 parties, regardless of which party is at risk, then we could end up in some real trouble. I would ask that people pay special attention to the UIP where a known PTO attempt is underway. If Ansen isn't winning the PP then our party could fall victim to a PTO.
Nice job. Most of what you wrote here I agree with, however sometimes things must be lost in order to protect or gain another even more valuble thing.
I'm not going to pretend thtat I know much being relitively new to eRebublik and I will stand and deliver as you have said as it makes sense. BUT, we must be prepared if we are to lose something and if that somthing we lose is our national security due to the loss of a party well...... its like Jon Barack Bluejacket stated above we'll need plenty of weapons and plane tickets.
Sp I'll stand and deliver but I'll make sure that when I do it's the best place and time to.
