Some eRepublik Concepts

Day 2,343, 13:46 Published in Bosnia and Herzegovina Bosnia and Herzegovina by BriZgonja
Greetings dear players of eRepublik!

My name is BriZgonja and I've been playing this game since january of 2012 (on this account at least 😃). Through my experience of this game very little has changed. Plato tried making this game more interesting by adding Guerrila fighting, new divisions etc. But that didn't go as Plato planned. He has been ignoring players' needs and when he does put some changes they're bad, and get really bad response from the eRepublik community. A few months ago, some pictures were leaked of the supposed new version of eRepublik. Players estimated it would be released some time around December 2013. I have not heard anything about it since. eRepublik is becoming weaker by the day. And the reason is that this game is becoming boring and monotonous. With the help of my friend, s1haya, we'll present some crucial changes that could be added in the game that will make the game more fun (and possibly fix the economy and increase the price of gold?). We would like to present it to you.

It's common to see an eCountry PTO-ed. Also, it's not very unusual to see a CP doing a really bad job. Example, in eBiH there are 3-4 top 5 parties that formed a coalition and the eBiH CP is usualy from that coalition. Automatically they hold 75% of congress and if the CP is not doing his job he won't get impeached. There are also countries that don't have cogress so impeachment is impossible. Through history of the mankind we've seen several Coups. eRepublik is, afterall, a real life simulator. My concept is that a Coup would be started like a mix of resistance wars and AS donations. When a certain limit of material goods is reached all of the donators get a message or a voting paper so they can vote when to start the coup. The coup can be a kind of civil war (resistance war within a country). Only the citizens with citizenship of that country could fight. They can choose between fighting for the government or fighting for the people. I think this is an interesting concept and would make the game more amusing.

The country presidents have very little privileges, so becoming a CP isn't very „popular“ like it used to be. I'm calling the card of the „RL simulator“ again. There are countries in the World that aren't democratic. The concept is that the elected president could name himself the Dictator or King of a state. It would cause dissatisfaction in some eCountries, while in other eCountries it will be a great step ahead. When a CP names himself the Dictator, congress is automatically canceled (or the next congress elections, but until that time the congress doesn't have the option for impeachment). A Dictator can only be ousted by a Coup. A player is the Dictator until he is ousted or until he resigns. A King however, doesn't have as many privileges as a Dictator. The King is like an ordinary CP, but he can appoint his heir to the throne. The King also can't be impeached, only ousted by a Coup.

As expected there will be a lot of Coup failures. The Dictator or the King could put the organizers in prison. The prisoner could pay a ransom to the leader of a country. While in prison, a player can't buy from the market nor fight in Coups. When a country is occupied all of the prisoners become a property of the occupator (the prisoner doesn't get the occupators CS). The occupators can choose between releasing the prisoner or not. The prisoner is a property of the occupator until the occupied country frees at least one teritory back. Thus, a new ministry is forme😛 the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

These are just some of the concepts that we thought of. You can expect a lot more in the near future.

You can help simply by voting and shouting this article. What would be great is if you send Plato the link of this article via tickets (choose „Game support“ then „Game mechanics“).
