Small Steps to More Cash

Day 597, 15:33 Published in USA USA by Arkandy

Many newcomers to eRepublik find it hard to raise wellness, keep a solid job, or conserve money. These tips should help you right along in keeping not only your wellness up, but your wallet as well.

A huge problem for newcomers is wellness. Keeping wellness up is a MUST in eRepublik, as it gets you a good job, pay, and productivity bonuses. To keep your money in your pocket, you have some basic rules:

1. Get a job. Getting a Q1 job starting out is troublesome, as you have low pay. The upside to this is that it sets the foundation later in your eCareer. Sometimes, applying for the top-of-the list job is not always the best idea. Try to find a solid job that you wont be fired from and has a decent wage. My first job was Alpha Soup Q1. I would reccomend this company strongly for a Q1 job. I worked every day, and earned 4 raises. Getting a raise is great because you will most likely surpass the wage you would get at another job that might fire you for low wellness.

2. Buy food. Getting 5 Q1 food units for the price of 1 Q2 food unit is a great idea. July 9, 2009 economic statistics & research show that Q1 food is better in value, dollar for dollar. Though it may not raise your wellness as much, at leat you're not getting inadequate wellness for your money.

3. Save. Saving your spare change from a purchase can add up. It may be hard to believe, but early in eRepublik is the best time to start saving your money. Start with something small, like 10% of your daily salary. In a few weeks hey, you might have a nice nest egg built up. Eventually, that nest egg could become your new Q3 house, and really get you going.

4. Move. Moving to states with Q5 hospitals is by far the best way to raise your wellness. I just recently did this, and went from an inconsistant 38-42 wellness to always 100 wellness. The key is to enter a live battle. Currently Ireland and the USA are having war games. Entering a battle and getting your wellness to 50 is the first step. You lose 10 welness for every fight. Once you're at 50 wellness or very close to that, click the "back to battlefield" option. Once there, you will be offered to heal at a hospital. Healing at a Q5 hospital gives you 50 wellness. Once you heal, PRESTO! you now have 100 Wellness. For eRepublik newcomers, you will usually have lower than 50 welness already. just fight once, and then heal to get higher wellness. The following day, repeat the above process and there you go.

5. Research. Make sure you're getting a good deal on products your buying. There are many companies that will target low-level players and trick them into a false deal. Head to the economy section and check out taxes. Taxes WILL affect your job and career. High taxes and inflation in your field may cause layoffs in companies with excess workers (above max productivity).

6. Make some friends. Inviting friends to eRepublik is one of the best ways to make money fast. When a friend you invite reaches level 6, you recieve 5 gold. This is the equivalent of about 250 USD. Also, meet people already in eRepublik. Veteran players, or even moderately experience players always know some tricks of the trade, and usually are willing to help you out. Making friends in eRepublik is necessary, as if you end up in a situation, they are usually willing to help you out. Also, helping you're friends out is a good idea as well, as they may return the favor later.

7. Know your government. Get to know your Congressman and President, especially your state ones. Talking to government officials is benficial as they can understand how an average citizen feels about everyday problems, without the drama and spice of the press. Send letters to your congressman, and tell them what you think should be changed. Try to get an interview, if possible. speaking of, i have done just that. I interviewed Bill Forder, the current Wisconsinite congressman about the current economy and who should do what to fix the current decline and high taxes.

"As a congressman, do you think that it is more up to the Companies, Citizens, or Government to manage the economy?"
Answer: I believe it takes the combined effort of all three of the parties. One cannot work without the other, they are equal, or close to equal in my mind.

"What can this party do on a daily basis to help stimulate the economy, without going broke?"
Answer: I dont know too much about economics, so I cannot really answer this question without sounding naive.

"Do you believe that is it important for everyone to help with the economy?"
Answer: Yes I believe that it takes the combined efforts of everyone to make the economy run properly.

"Should citizens take big or little steps to keep thier cash in thier pocket?"
Answer: It depends, I would say if you have left over money after buying food for example, put it away in either a [bank] account or just in your profile and save it just in case you need extra food, weapons, or just want to give somebody a gift
