Scipio for the East Midlands

Day 578, 14:01 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Scipio The Great

The congress elections are nearing. This time I thought I’d get my manifesto out early.

Me

Get this dull bit out of the way first.

~ First I was under minister at the Ministry of Migration and Support, after which I became minister there.
~ The following month under Malta I was the Minister of Home Affairs (a new ministry at that time and I feel I gave it as good a start as I could)
~ Both under Sara and now Kumnaa I’m the Minister of Information and Education (basically like our RL Speaker in the House of Commons)
~ I was NHS director for the East of England (EM was already taken 😛) until the NHS was shut down
~ I’m Colonel of squad A3 “The Devils” of the Royal Guard.
~ And of course, I’ve been a congressman in the East Midlands for four months, if re-elected, it will be my fifth term.

East Midlands

My duty is to my region, my country and to my party and I have and will continue to fulfil that duty.

One of the most important functions for an older citizen is to communicate with newer citizens to explain to them what they can be doing, how they can contribute to the UK and to support them with questions they may have and finances if necessary. I see communication one of the key aspects to a congressman’s duties and I will continue to help in any way I can.

This term the East Midlands have seen a revival of the famed Assembly in the region. Although I can not claim even a portion of the credit, which should be given to the current Assemblymen (Del Fuego, Frank Furglar, Mr Woldy, Lee Richards, Da Ruler and Colt Silver), I have helped in any way I could and am always available to assist and encourage.

Although I would have loved to take up a more official role, my work as a Minister took up too much time. Nevertheless, as I said, I’m daily on the forums, I’m always commenting and helping in any way I can, helping out with competitions to promote the region. This is something which I will be sure to continue to do.

As promised in every one of my manifestos I have donated my 5G to the Assembly and I promise that again. Not only that, one of the companies that I manage with Del Fuego, donates 25% of its profits to the Assembly organisation to fund the various projects that it runs.

PCP

Understandably, a vote for me is also a vote for my party. Although I shall work for the East Midlands primarily, and do so tirelessly, I am very confident in my ability to apply the principles of my party to do as much good as I can in our region.

I believe in the equal treatment and pay of all of us. This can not be better exemplified in my work for and with the People’s Commune. It is a group of companies that are continuously growing. We pay all our workers equally regardless of their skill. From the very new to the very old and highly skilled we are all paid the same - £1. We then distribute to all our workers food and gifts for free. Any profit we make on any surplus is immediately ploughed back into the communes.

Final Thought..

Normally I finish up my manifestos with some views on situations that are on going, but this time, spurned on by recent events, comments and posts in the forums, I’ll just make a hopeful sum up.

We need to work together and, although that may seem idealistic, it’s vital we listen to each of our concerns and sort them out as best we can. We will fail if we cannot unite. There are plenty of good ideas and methods out there, but we can’t use them all. We must overcome our bias towards one another and learn to accept that we are all trying to make things better, that we are all working for the UK.

Anyway – remember also everyone to join the forums, they are the heart and soul of the eUK. If you want to participate, contribute and learn, you must join them.

Many thanks and remember to vote next week,
Scipio
