Hello to all our fellow eRepublikans!

You may have heard the whisperings, but we are here to confirm those rumors are true. The Department of the Interior is back! This newspaper will be updated frequently highlighting the wonderful programs, and special events, we provide to the citizens of the United States. We’ll be bringing you current information, program details, and also shiny new graphics that look prettier.

For starters, I'd like to apologize to all the dedicated readers of the DoI that were looking forward to this article's publication. Unfortunately, RL has thrown me a curve ball that I've been dealing with for the past week and has delayed this writing.

So I'm sure some of you are wondering, what the heck is Boobs for Newbs? Well, I can tell you it's the most...exciting?...program of the DoI.

For a history of the program, I messaged CRoy who helped to develop it:

It started when I was DoI under Glove for the second half of March '11. I wanted to create something fun to revamp the department because it had been slowly dying for many months. Jerseygirldani came up with the name. I told her the idea was a thread where people post hot pictures of chicks and get food in return, with the goal of retaining new citizens by keeping them coming back for fun each day. One of us proposed, "boobs for foodz" but she ended up saying "bewbs for newbs" and it was perfect.

We fed people with food from the DoI SuperReserve, which was created by me a week or two before then by asking people for their excess food. Many people gave and we soon had a giant reserve of food for the DoI to give out in abundance to all new players. We also used money from the DoI budget to purchase food here and there, for tanks, because we gave out a few tanks per day with B4N as well.

So let's get this straight...you post pictures of hot chicks on the eUS forums and get food in return? Sounds like an awesome program!

Of course we're gonna censor that in here...this is a G rated newspaper. Who do you think we are?

I also spoke with current Director of the B4N program, Molly Emma, to get her input and find out about how the program is funded and the activity she's notice😛

The program started as a MoW-style program to get people to the forum and hopefully help them get immersed in the meta-game. The CBO funds about 75% of what we do in B4N. The rest is done through donations. Activity is cyclical based on media presence and battle activity.

New Recruitment and Retention Department

The DoI would like to announce the creation of a R&R Program designed to bring new people to the game and add another layer of communication and welcomefulness(? 😉 ) to the eUSA!

SoI Molly Emma is currently interviewing prospective Directors and Staff for this Program! Please Message her if you are interested! Advance the cause of the eUSA and enhance the richness of our community by bringing in new players helping the newest of the new get on their feet. Get involved in the eUSA and be a part of national government!
