Pass the Butter Please

Day 2,086, 10:29 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar

There's an old saying that a President must choose between guns or butter. For the last several months the Federalist Party has had Presidents who have focused on guns (ATO) during their terms. This focus has payed big dividends in helping to change the political landscape. This PP election day we will once again be taking Ajay's party away from him. As the CP election results yesterday have shown the PTO is rapidly losing steam. One more hit should knock them out of even sniffing the top 5 for the foreseeable future. Even after we must always be watchful.

I have as of today accepted my nomination to run for Party President. I will be focusing on butter. In the Federalist Party, we do a lot of things right. We recruit very well and we have our own MU (SHIELD) which helps feed and supply new players who might otherwise struggle in this broken economy. We have an FBI department that is top notch in protecting our forums and the integrity of our internal primaries. We're very active, and genuinely enjoy being a part of the Fed community. Traditionally we have been a noob centric party that prides itself on including and involving new blood. We're the number 1 party in America for good reason.

However, as any Party Leadership would tell you there is always room for improvement. Peaks and Valleys are inevitable. Previous areas of strength for our party are lagging. IRC activity is down. Fed Game night and Fed Radio have vanished. Forum activity is not what it used to be. Fed meetings are sparsely attended. Relations with the other Parties are at a nadir. In short, we have some issues that need to be addressed. I have plans to do just that.

If I'm elected, Fed Game night will be coming back. As I said energy seems to be waning. I'm concerned the Feds aren't having as much fun as they should be. eRep is a game,it by definition should be fun. I'm going to revive an old Department. EnterAwesome will be the Director of the newly revived Department of Fun. The Department will be assuming the handling of the monthly Fed Awards. The Fed Awards up till now have been handled by Malarkey83 . This was not an assignment, it was something Malarkey created and managed independently in order to help Feds gain recognition for their efforts. I have loved and looked forward to every edition of the Fed Awards, and I thank Malarkey for doing the first 4 Fed Awards. Sadly Malarkey informed the party this month's Awards would be the last edition he could administrate. Rather than let them go, Fed Awards will be a permanent fixture in the Fun Zone.

The Fun Department will also hold regular grab bag events on the Fed Forums. This is both a great activity, and an excellent fundraiser for the Party. EA, and her staff will be lurking in the forums, in game, and in IRC. They will be monitoring and randomly rewarding activity, helpfulness, and in general awesomeness. So Feds listen to Bill and Te😛 Be excellent to one another.

Fed Radio will be returning. This is my solemn promise. Hosts and a website to broadcast from are still up in the air, but I do have a few ideas in mind. Fed meetings have for the last several months been on Sunday evenings. Attendance to be frank has been lagging far behind what it was on Wednesdays. My plan is to move it back to the middle of the week.

Moar Fed Media! We have had internal Fed media contests in recent months that have had mixed success. I like this, but I want moar! My Media Director will have as big a staff under them as we can assemble. The job of each staffer will be simple: write and publish one article a week. If those articles are spread out we have an explosion of Fed media. Normally there are more jobs than bodies, but Recruitment thanks to the efforts of Donovan Zoi (our Recruiting Director) ,Greene12 (our current PP) , and Kody5 (a stallion who pitches in all over the place) have led to a boom in new promising players. I plan to utilize, and involve these new players.

The last major item on my agenda is community outreach. I intend to work towards improving inter-party relations. I'm a somewhat recent return to erep. I came back in April. My views and opinions are not as of yet colored by past events. The Feds (myself very much included) are a Proud and Horny bunch. At times we allow this P/H fire in our bellies to grow into hubris. This has hurt us, in Presidential Elections, in Speaker of the House votes, in Congress, and in the community. I will work to mend fences, and foster cooperation. In the spirit of that I'd like to congratulate both Oblige, and his party WTP. It's Oblige's 5th term as Potus which is unprecedented, but equally as important it's WTP first President. WTP is clearly an ascendant group that's finding it's stride.

If I'm elected Party President, we're going to make something awesome out of all this butter. My goal is to have the party engaged, having fun, writing unprecedented amounts of articles, and well respected by everyone in the eUS community.

If this is a vision you support, then I ask that you vote for Tyler Buublar Fed Party President! Thanks for reading!
