Party animal #1

Day 2,589, 06:21 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by VoodooMike71

A few days ago I left TUP to go walkabout (which is a good excuse to reuse the Crocodile Dundee image)...

G’day! Struth! Flamin’ galah! etc etc

The plan was to amble around aimlessly, but with the vague intention of visiting other parties and checking them out. And that’s exactly what I’ve done. Once.

So without further ado, here’s a short, fact-filled review of the first party I visited - Anarchy In the EUK.

I had high hopes for this party. A party named after a Sex Pistols track fills me with hope.

A better model for a party than, say, Simply Red

Unfortunately the name is as good as it gets. Frankly, a more appropriate moniker would be Lethargy In the UK, because they’re all asleep (or dead). In the five days I was a member, precisely two messages hit the party shoutbox.

Both from me.

I did receive a PM asking if I’d like to get involved in PTOing the party, but frankly what’s the point? A toddler with a couple of mates could take this party over if they wanted to. Not even the last set of elections raised any interest from the party members (of which there are five, plus me). Indeed, some of the messages at the bottom of the shoutbox are written in Latin. Or Egyptian hieroglyphs. Or Dinosaur(-ish).

Watch out for the tumbleweed

So, in summary, if you’re looking for somewhere nice to sleep and can’t find anything decent on hotels.com, Anarchy In The EUK may be the place for you. However, if it’s a vibrant, active political party you’re after, try somewhere else.

Next stop: the United Sovereign Party UK...
