Hello everyone , this article will be kinda different. But based on the same pure logic that Skeptocracy is based on. I have never used this newspaper to blame anyone but I think it's time to say some things more open. First of all just like the title says , this month I will be out of congress. It's ok by me , the reasons though are not.
When I realised the problem it was earlier than the congress elections. Actually it was on the PP elections of November. WHS , David Onofrei, CatBoyd and I have applied for that position. WHS and I have agreed to hold a debate amongst us and the other candidates (David & Catboyd never appeared in any message) in a message with ILP members so the procedure would be democratical and the other party members could read our ideas/actions and decide on their own. By now everything is fine , but it's about time that the real problem expose itself.
So let's begin with the real problem. First of all the crucial majority of the party didn't give a f*** about the elections. In the messages about ~7 members only saw some interest asking some questions or commenting on our suggestions. Where are the rest? The other 2 candidates why didn't even say a "hi" in those messages or even the party wall? Obviously they are ghosts. Also how did the vote of the inactive members were decided , as I am sure they didn't even bother to read the messages ? It's true that I lost the elections with a huge difference between me and WHS , but I accept the result. What I don't certainly accept is how that result is reasoned. That's why I won't believe not in a million years the 24 votes in the party elections come from members who even care. I have never seen them in the party wall or in the party messages. So they are ghosts ...
Congress elections : After the party elections , we were asked (whoever was interested) to run for congress. I did run for congress , as I was congressman for 2 months in a row and I have the time and now some experience to help the party as congress member. Totally 13 members applied for congress and the party president (WHS) chose in what row the candidates will be elected based on the votes the party gets. The final ILP list was the ones who got elected plus me and then Aoife , the last 2 in the list. What happened there for me was over the line. WHS' strategy for the elections was not to pick the best possible list for the ILP and eIreland but obviously try to exclude CrOmega's old and present members. Why else should TaraC ,a respected player and ex-Minister and a very active player in the past months be in position 11? Why should I be in 12th position , even though I am active everyday and answer to all messages, participated in lasts elections as possible party president , active in congress threads ? I can't speak for Aoife since we never had that much of communication.. All these questions need a proper answer! What makes this even worse is that the ones who got elected , excluding positions 1,3,4,7 , are some of the ghosts who never appear in the messages or the party wall. I respect the older members of the party who may have contribute much , but the point of the congress is to be aparted by active players who can do things for our country.
Although who would I be, if I didn't always suggest a solution. Unfortunately , in opposition to my first thoughts about the party , I 've been proved to be wrong. I have to say that the party now seems rotten and from the inside. I have no personal matters against WHS , but the policy/strategy he follows will lead to nowhere. The problem is that the party seems to be opposed in helping the country. If we don't fix that , then the blame is to ourselves. What is the point of being the first party if you don't contribute much to the progress of the country and overall the society in it? There are respectable members in this party and they are the ones who should act now. Quoting a clever saying "You can't change anything , if you don't change yourself first". Personally I still believe that the party can achieve a productive and positive role in the community , but as I claimed before we need to change. These strategies and zombie-ghost-non active members chosing our role in the society or being promoted to congressmen isn't going to help.
Assuming all these , I expect ANSWERS in this article and I'd be glad to see a PM from any party member who wants to help and discuss what can be done.

The only real contributions WHS has made to eIreland is endless complaining and his ability to obfuscate the simplest task into a complicated drama.

Where to start.
Firstly ALL ILP members who were friends at the time were included in the messages I so kindly agreed to make as I was friended with more people. I could of told you to run along and make message after message and done my own thing. I didn't, I included you and gave you a platform, nay I encouraged you to set out your platform, tell them why vote LoneHarry for the election. If the other 2 candidates were not included the at that time they were not friends. The message was created prior to CatBoyd joining the race but you knew that didn't you 🙂
In that message I set out my platform clearly and starkly and told ILP members NOT TO VOTE FOR ME it they did not agree with my vision for cleaning up eIreland.
You also made your case.
The result was 19-2-2-1 It is clear the Party endorsed my plan.
Next on to the Congress elections.
I encouraged over and over members to candidate for the election and 13 did. I messaged each candidate with a questionnaire and told them their answer WILL determine their position on the list. You replied and if you remember I re asked you a question just to give you an opportunity to have a rethink.
I told all candidates I would not leak their answers and I won't but the grading system was applied and you landed where you did. I will say Aoife was last as she did not reply.
During election day I strived to maximise the vote to get ALL candidates elected.
Now Harry if you ever become PP of a Party realise that when making the order for Congress tough decisions have to be made.
Unlike most PPs I actually gave Candidates an opportunity to make their case. Some candidates I did not know well but answered differently and raised their position accordingly.That this time you were on the lower end of the list was based on your answers.
So less of the sour grapes and feeling of entitlement and move on
Sorry mate but you either didn't read the entire article or missed the point of it. It is not an attack , I simply differ my opinion from what is going on atm.
My problem is that the party is consisted by ghost-players. Also who doesn't agree with the answers you wanted is listed last? How did you come up with that idea? A party shouldn't have 1 voice , the voice of their leader! It needs many voices to be complete.
It is clearly an attack...you need to consult a dictionary, saying something isn't what it clearly is does not change it.

I didn't claim that you excluded the 2 other candidates!!! All I said about that is that DAVID and CATBOYD didn't give a f*** or bothered to write a sentence in these messages!

They didn't appear with writing something. Not they didn't participate.
That is not what you said....what you said at the very least it implied I omitted the others to avoid debate.
The opposite is the case.
Don't distort my saying , just to avoid answering the main questions. Were are all these guys that voted? Why they never appear in wall party or answer in the messages?
Also try to respect a different opinion. Not everybody should align his opinion to yours :/

WHS - When I read Harry's article I did not get the feeling that he implied you omitted the others to avoid debate.

i cannot be agree with you when you said the ILP is rotten.
i understand you can be upset to lose the PP election and not be congressman but it's just the choice of the PP and legal elections.
maybe you can talk with the PP on his congress list in private.
our actual PP said clearly his line of conduct, he was elected by majority. nothing rotten in this process, although you have all the right to express your opposition in an article.
but not to say that ILP is rotten. it's biased.
Ice Drake Shyvana, you know I respect your opinion. So as I write in the article , I accept that I lost in the PP elections and not I am not this month a congress member. Please focus on the facts I claim that bother me.
i read all the article mate but use the word "rotten" don't help the viewer to be focused on constructive debate.
yes this month we had like 10 less voters than during my term, for the congress elections. But it's difficult to be sure of the reason.
and about our PP's strategy, we can disagree but at least it was clear and frank. and he received 22 votes against 5 for all the 3 other candidates. we have to accept the election and support:advice our PP if we take care of the party.
For the last time.. I don't have a problem losing the PP elections. I announced my candidacy early so the older members could advice me if it wasn't correct thing to do.
Now to the point. I called ILP rotten , because I am member of it for 4 months and about 50% of the party is zombies. No shouts , no messages in ILP's message,no shouts in party wall and generally inactive but still voters. Is that healthy?
there are a majority of players in this game who are in 2 clics mode 75% of the time but are still interested and who show support by "just" voting. ILP represents this type of playing, we can't call them dead or rotten or any other word because they don't want to write articles or speak.
tbh i don't see the point of this article, other than say you feel to be put to the glap?!?
ILP represents this type of playing? Then rename the party to Dead Zone or The inactive party.
I won't force anyone to spend 1 more minute in this game, but the game should go on with the active ones.
we represent players who don't have time to do politic but who whare the same opinion, they vote for this. it's like rl what do you do rl for politic?? you vote (at least or maybe not)

I agree with Ice, there are a lot of players who 2 click and share an opinion with others, so they join their party. They rarely speak or comment, but they are interested in the game. They are as entitled to vote in the elections of whichever party they are in as more active players. I understand you feel frustrated. I understand that you feel more people should take part, but that is just how it is.
I suspect if you were list at position 10 in the Congress list this article would never have been written

What I wanted to say is that .. by submitting that list , you made me feel confident that something are wrong in the party.

Because you feel other non vocal party members are voting for me?
To be blunt Harry you had 2 Party messages to make this point but you choose to make it in public. That alone speaks volumes imho
I believe in democracy , also if you have nothing to fear or be afraid of why not to be public?
By the way it's nice to judge how useful players are based on answers. So a player who gives "good" (based on your opinion always) answers , but log in every 20 days , is a good candidate and will be of use to eIreland. Huh?

You just make circles. I know the first question and if the other 12candidates said yes , some probably fooled you. Of course I keep in mind there are more questions in that questionnaire but the 1st one is crucial.
So I was fooled? In that case I am blameless (other than not knowing I was fooled)

All parties have "ghost" players, or players with less activity, it's just that the ILP is the biggest party, hence you'd expect there to be more of them. As for the Dáil list, that's always for the PP to decide. Aoife is very inactive, so I wasn't surprised to see her last, but I expected all 13 candidates to get in anyway and I was a bit surprised at the number of votes received. I can't comment on your replies to Winston's questions, as I don't know them.
Glad to see you here Liam. Ofc the rate of ghosts is bigger to bigger parties , but it's too many in ILP.
You do know the PP cannot expel any member for a party?
Knowing this what do you expect ANY PP in any party to do?
I am aware that a party member can't be deleted. And this is a lack of game mechanisms.
My rhetorical , I can say , question is how come these ghosts are so interested in politics so they vote in congress - PP - CP elections , but they don't give a damn about party debate and progress.
I'd prefer to see everyone vote and be active, but we can't force anybody to do that and, unlike a MU, the leader can't expel members. That's how the devs have coded the game, so we have to live with it. As for the players, I don't know anyone's personal circumstances, so I can't comment why they aren't more active.

A correction is needed here, I didn't run for anything when I was inactive. I was then removed from all ILP threads. Consequently, I decided to run for congress to get back into these threads. I do think it was because of being in CrOmega and I'm just over this childishness tbh.
I've literally been gone for two months and I was deleted from everything.

Even when inactive you were included in party members message
When you ran for congress you were messaged by me with the questions. You were the only candidate not to reply. That is why you were bottom of the list. Nothing to do with your MU status.
Again MU status was not asked for. Position on the list was decided on answers given. You never answered but you expected prefential treatment?

All candidates including those in leadership council, no exception other than myself.

Theres a war brewing. Pick your side. Though as I had suspected now for weeks it appears you already have.
I just point out things that seem to me wrong. About the war you call , I never wanted to participate in that war.
But to be frank what I don't like at all is people find things to argue , in order to avoid co-operation and progress. The community could be strong , but some people don't want to.
