Netherlands Stands With EDEN!

Our loyal and dedicated congress has decided it is now time to question our loyalty to EDEN by posting up a referendum to judge our opinions on leaving.

I come before you today as a citizen of Netherlands to reinforce our brotherhood with EDEN since it seems our congress has forgotten. We have had strong ties with EDEN for a long time now and they have been here for us that entire time as well.
For example I would like to point out that our previous CP of 6 months, van Spijck, is our Supreme Commander of EDEN and he has worked with EDEN and Netherlands for that entire 6 months before he ever considered becoming SC. What kind of message are we sending if we abandon the man we stood behind for 6 months, the same man who helped build up Netherlands and is now rebuilding EDEN?
Another example is our various RW's with Poland. EDEN has always supported us in our struggle against Poland. The past 3 months we have been fighting to claim our independence and it was EDEN who put us as a mobile priority every time we asked for aid. Even this most recent RW during the treaty mess that was not quite signed or official, EDEN was there to help push us to victory. What kind of message are we sending if we abandon them now?
In our current war with the UK, EDEN has been by our side, even working with Asgard's member Canada, to help our allies in Norway against the UK. This counter-attack has been a HUGE success, one that our experienced congress deemed too risky to pursue yet were overridden anyway. I ask you what honor do we have if we abandon EDEN and our allies Canada and Norway?
Why would we ever leave EDEN?
This is the question I have been asking myself for months now as our 3 month term congress continues to believe EDEN is not right for us. They claim that EDEN is weak and cannot meet our needs. They claim that EDEN is falling apart. I say this is against everything we have seen these past months! To say EDEN is weak is false as we see all of our allies rising up to defend each other as we do with Norway. All around the globe you see our allies reclaiming their homeland and fighting for each other, helping each other out like a true brotherhood. Our brothers needs us as we need them and we can't afford to turn our backs on them. I ask that we prove our congress wrong and when the referendum starts we tell them we are brothers of EDEN and we will never betray our family!

Van_Spijck has done a lot for our country and gave us a peaceful period. We should not let him down now, after all he has done for us!
I am proud to say that the Supreme Commander of EDEN comes from The eNetherlands, OUR country!

I actually find this article a bit disappointing in the lack of information being provided here. Congress is not questioning our loyalty to EDEN at all. The entire past week all we have heard is how much people hate the Congress and want a new one so Congress decides to hand the power over to the people to vote in a referendum on EDEN and now our loyalty is being questioned? Make up your mind because this whole going back and forth is really starting to make me wonder if anyone will ever be pleased. This is the peoples referendum not the Congress's.
So holding a referendum to ask the people what they think is a bad thing now?
The only thing you seem to be able to do is complain aries.
Even a member of Eden's own HQ voted in favor of the referendum.
Let me elaborate my vote in favour: I honestly don't think there is any point in staying in an alliance if the common players don't see how this contributes to the fun in this game. Yes, I am convinced it does and yes, I do hope you all vote for staying in EDEN, but if the people in the eNL fail to see this, so be it.

Lol I don't say I don't like EDEN, but it is kinda strange to put a vote when for the first time in months something succeeds and with a article full of propaganda.. And besides of that shouldn't this be done in a referendum? Anyways I'm happy to see that it goes well there, I hope it will last longer than a week.
Somehow I am not surprise that Aries Prime posted a very biased one sides article that only misinforms people.
So you don't like congres, because they are not democratic anymore. But when they decide to do something democratic you say that that is stupid. And why do you say prove congres wrong. They never said that they want to leave. And would you rather prove congres wrong then let everybody make their own choice. I don't understand you.
Due to the lack of power eNetherlands has on its own, and also the lack of alternatives, there's really no decent choice here, is there?
For some strange reason many of the eDutch love van Spijck. The past 6 months you all did whatever he wanted. He guided you into this whole pro-EDEN thingy, banning other alternatives. Now he's the Chief of EDEN (kinda makes me think he was using his CP power to achieve just that) and you have no choice left. Live with that. I moved on.

Yes if congress does not release and article soon about registering on the forums I will do so myself.
i've already brought it to the attention of my party members. and aries if you started to read the information instead of complaining you would have seen that everybody would be informed about registering.

I do not think we need to start quoting more forum debates and responses but we can if you feel it necessary and let me say they probably won't help improve things.
Anyway if congress does not release this article soon enough then I will make my own. Simple.
I read debates of congress, and all I can see is:
- Hate towards van Spijck
- Our CP raging (saying we should do everything ourselves?!)
- Congress being negative about EDEN
I haven't heard anyone wanting to leave EDEN besides some congress members. So if you want to represent the people of the eNetherlands, why are you starting a referendum? I don't see anyone outside the congress asking for it, do you?

@Aries stop hating lad congress has taken your concerns about transparancy and democracy serious and now you are complaining again if the people of the netherlands decide to leave EDEN (an act I would regret)
than that's there free choice. don't complain when democracy doesn't suit you

If we were anarchists we would be advocating a Netherlands without a government, something simply not possible in this game ElGorro.
All I ever hear of that forum is misery. 😞 a referemdum should be public, in an article, like every other normal country has, giving all citizens the chance to vote!
@Aries FAIL. The topics you quote are going about the law and the congres is chosen to let the goverment to there things, but according to the law. If that isn't the case they can start topics about it.

To be clear, Congress never voted in favor of leaving EDEN, nor is there, I suspect, a majority in favour of leaving EDEN in the first place. Yes, there have been some criticisms, and rightly so, and van Spijck being in charge of the whole thing doesn't mean we can't make up our own minds about EDEN. Anyway, while I support putting this case to the people, I am against leaving EDEN, primarily because there is no viable alternative.
i am against leaving eden. why, well first of all van spijck deserves some credits for his efforts in eden and need to be given time, things will goes first worse before it gets better. secondly, if we dont stay in eden were must we go to then ?
i have asked the mofa this some days ago to get some intell from asgard. not that we will with that intell leave eden, but it gives us a back-up plan if the majority of enetherlands vote for leaving eden. but remember people, some fellow countrymen have put many time and effort in eden, DONT LET THEM DOWN.
