A while back, a friend got me involved in eRepublik. He wanted me to see how it was and to play a bit with him and decide if I enjoyed it. I decided to give it a shot and it seemed fun.
So, I came to the eUSA, eager to make friends, fight, and involve myself in the world. As the top soldier in D3 in the eUSA (based both on strength and maxhit), I looked for a suitable military unit to join. I found one and spent a good deal of time there, but due to a falling out with one of the higher-ups over one of their friends, I resigned. I didn't want internal conflict and aggravation within my own MU.
During the previous month or two, I'd bought plenty of packs and stashes, gifted half a dozen or so to others, and built up my potential. I used it to fight for the eUSA, to troll our enemies and opponents, and to take Battlefield Hero medal after Battlefield Hero Medal.
It was due to these accomplishments and my consistently putting up damage in the 100-million-plus range in D3 that led Oblige to recruit me. He saw my potential. He made me a very fair deal in exchange for fighting for the USAF and DoD/eUSA. He was a good friend to me, so I joined the USAF and looked forward to working for him.
Imagine my surprise (and disappointment) when, about a week after I joined the USAF, Oblige was removed as commanding officer. Oblige was the reason I joined USAF. I'd had offers from Easy Company and The Ubermensch to join their MUs. I chose my friend.
I'm not pointing fingers or assigning blame, because I don't know the whole story behind what happened. What I do know is that I'm now disillusioned and disappointed, and eRepublik no longer holds the appeal for me it initially did.
I'll try to hang out on IRC and talk to my friends, but other than a couple more battles in the next few days, I'm going to step back and consider my options going into the future. I'm afraid eRepublik likely won't be among them.

Truthfully, I don't think this should be enough to leave you disenfranchised with regard to the entire game, but hey, we all make our own choices.
It's just a matter of too much BS in too short a time. :/
That's understandable, but I'd say it just means that you need to take a break and reorient you perspective on the game a bit.

Sad, and unfortunate that this is how the game is presented to new players.
What's sad is, if you would have just said "I've been recruiting people" instead of doing the dickwaving you did you would still be in USAF.
Sort of hard to get that point across when the first words out of someone's. Out are "you're fired, hand over to the MU I don't care what you say ,y mind is made up."

No, I am pointing out that even though we are friends, he still gave me a fair deal instead of trying to manipulate me into joining.
Another unit offered even more to fight for them than Oblige offered. I decided to join USAF with my friend instead.
I've tried to join USAF, they never answered my application........

Straight and Simple - He offered the eUSA to do a job, he failed to do said job in a timely manner, therefor he was removed. It's no one's fault but his own.

Someone claiming to recruit for you made an offer to me. I didn't accept, anyway, so it shouldn't bother you. 😛
He got a verbal invite from me, along with a brief explanation of our standard supply. If anyone made him a special offer, it was unbeknownst to me too.
That said, I believe AB could still find a home at EZC, for the exact reasons he is disenchanted right now: a politics-free environment.
Think about it.
Back in the day when I was EZC, everyone received the same offer; believe it was 'ya'll fight, ya'll get supplies'....
nothing's changed. nobody in EZC has any different deal from anyone else.
Adophus, should you leave, a poor player like me would greatly appreciate a gift of USD or gold as I am still not financially stable. I'd build a statue of you with some of the money in Trenton.

Trenton? I'd recommend Edison or maybe someplace else up north (I don't venture to that place often). If you build in Trenton it's going to get wrecked xD

When has Oblige been fired? Wasn't him part of a l/t plan in the USAF?
