Knight-Commanders letter I

Day 2,666, 10:53 Published in Denmark Denmark by Zacharia Raven

Dear eDanes and Her Highness
.

Thank you for electing me as Her Royal Knight-Commander! In this article I will talk about the term, and little bit about the dictatorship-module. Thank you once again!

My term

This month is going to be unusual, because I do not have any in-game power. I will however do my best to activate the eDanes as I did on my previous terms. I opened an endorsement competition in my previous article.

Endorsement tickets were:
1-5 Golpel
6-10 Cemba
11-15 Maine Coon
16-20 Kristian Klausen
21 Niconium

Winner is Her Highness, Maine Coon. I have donated her 3105 cc and 100 tanks to use how she sees fit.

The other competition was a free bet about a duel between Sir None and Sir Ushlau. However, during the registration process it was found out that Sir Ushlau was armed with an auto-crossbow, and Sir None only with a normal bow. Duel was thus cancelled.

There were some bets whoever, so I will now announce the winners:

1) Amount of Mercenary Medals of Sir None

Correct:

Closest bet:

Awar😛 500 tanks

2) Amount of Mercenary Medals of Sir Ushlau

Correct:

Closest bet:

Awar😛 500 tanks

3) Which one will have progressed more

The duel ended in a draw, as both progressed only 1 medal. No awards given.

The dictator module

After the introduction of Dictator, I believed that democracy will not be very common. Either a country will self-coup, or they will be taken over. Looking at the country list

We can see that dictatorship is becoming a norm. We have seen some external coups besides self-coups, and things are not looking good in those countries. I would say that a small country under foreign coup is most likely to be deserted and to die. It is going to be interesting to see whether this is was Plato intended.

Some countries, like eNorway, were able to fend off at least the first wave of foreign takeovers. This was only possible due major international interference in favor of the small nations.

I believed that there is going to be some kind of an organized, maybe mercenary-based, anti-MTO movement. There is now at least one that I know of. The idea is pretty good. That would be maybe even more efficient through mercenaries who became useless after the introduction of Combat Orders. Still, in order to oppose MU's from eRomania or ePoland, you will need a lot of people all over the world.

There are still small weak countries without a dictator. Closest to us, eSweden and eFinland are probably going to be targeted in near future. eFinland might get help from Pacifica. eSweden will have more difficulties, but shouts helped eNorway too.

In eRepublik nothing is constant. We might see some changes to the dictatorship module, or even a complete removal. For eDenmark the module is actually useful, but I can't see that being true for many other countries.
