This is our next interview with one of the Candidates. Please let me introduce Sheldon The Mad Scientist, formerly known as GoranJ.


1. Sheldon, please tell us a little about yourself in-game and in real life.

Well ingame there's so much to be said. I'm playing this crappy game for 6 years I guess. Three years ago I was CP ( and King 😛 ) here in Switzerland. I was MoFA, MoD, Prime minister etc. for numerous time ( I honestly stopped counting ). All in all there's lot of experience that I can offer in upcoming term.

In real life I'm just another boring history professor. I'm coming from Croatia. I've got a girlfriend and she hates this game but luckily she's not be at my place next month so let's get ready to rumble 😃


2. Switzerland is always under threat by larger countries. What plans do you have for keeping us safe?

That's fair assumption and correct one. I still consider diplomacy our strongest weapon to deal this situation which proved as good way many times in past. Ofc if there is no other way we will fight for our hills, mountains and cows!


3. Our population has always been small, but now it’s getting even smaller. We are desperate for a baby boom. What plans do you have for increasing citizenship?

well, Switzerland is not going to get babyboom easily, why so? I think that's logical because there's bunch of nationalities living here and all of them will chose their origin country (Italy,France,Germany) so I don't think there's much that can be done. We will never be a superpower and that's something we should be aware of. In my opinion we can only try to stimulate current population to be more active and grant citizenships to checked eRep citizens that can be useful and helpful in future.


4. Tell us about any other goals you may have.

Well my main goals:
a) keep us on map
b) secure us from PTOers
c) get more active people and continue Lucas's good work


5. How do you feel about transparency in government and communication in general?

For me it's very important to have an active government and that is going to be criterion for being a government member (+ qualifications for the job). I'll demand meetings at least once a week on IRC to discuss main issues in the Confederation. I can assure you that my government is going to be transparent and every citizen that has some questions will get the answers.


6. As a small country, we need all the friends we can get. How do you feel about MPPs and how would you fund them.

Well that's another thing that should be discussed. In my opinion not even 10 MPPs can't keep us on the map against stronger forces. We should not sign more than 1-2 MPPs so we could have training wars in case we're warless (not sure if that's a word xD ). All other money should be put aside and tanks should be bought. I think it's more effective 10 000 CHF invested in tanks ( and then supply fighters ) than in MPP.


7. Have you used our forum? How can we increase participation?

yes I have and to be honest I don't like forum. It takes few days for something that on chat you could do in 10 minutes. But sure, forum is a tradition of this nation and it should be used in future as well. I'll do everything to see our forum active again


8. How can we turn our 2 clickers into active citizens?

Well that is something we might not be able affect on. I can't force some one to play more active if he has some RL issues. That is an individual thing. But that is why we should get our forum activity back because everyone can spare 5 minutes on forum and check what's going on.
