Interview with Qadis Rowein

Hello my dear readers. This article is going to be a continue of series of interviews I was doing few months ago.

I present you my good friend Qadis Rowein, the current MoFa of eSpain.



1. Could you share with us a few words about your RL?
I live in southern Spain, in Cádiz. It's the oldest city in the west of Europe and probably with the most beautiful beaches in the world ;p
I am currently involved in some kind of family business with making different works via PC. It let me sometime available for play eRep usually.

2. What keeps you playing the game?
The community, without any doubts. That game itself hasn't a great appeal, you are just clicking. But the community and people on IRC are really that thing, which grabs you. Also I am here, cause I desire to change the image of my country, which has been badly damaged in recent time in eRepublik. That is a great challenge for me in this moment.

3. You have been citizen in many countries and politically active in most of them, what is the difference between one another?
I wanted to get an experience in eRepublik from different points of view in working in small, medium and large country. Each of them gave me different and useful knowledge like MoFA.
I have two more challenges and two more countries I admire for their playing style. They are brave warriors and ready to give all for their allies. These countries are Bulgaria and Croatia. I hope that someday I will have the opportunity to gain some experience there and learn much about them.

4. You are member of Black Spectra, it is a well known MU worldwide, could you tell us more about the unit?
BlackSpectra MU is a good example how units work by and for their people.

It’s a project where the elite of the MU left all their effort to make a very competitive military unit without visas, but with large businessman contributing their profits to provide an opportunity to everyone to improve.

Some time ago we decided to open to new players and pay for their fields of training. Now we all reap results of that investment. That very weak holders, today are potent D1 players capable to do much damage and gradually will be stronger in each following divisions.

Not only eSpain has much to owe thanks to these players, also the game itself, because there is no better way to keep new players here than teaching them and helping to progress.

I want here to thank all those, whose efforts have helped to make BlackSpectra larger, as Xiosif, davecoli, Moas, The Skynet, El Nejro, Manuel, manpaspal and many more names, without them BlackSpectra would not be the same.

5. You are the current MoFa of Spain, what is to be a foreign minister in that country for you?
It is very difficult to be MoFA in eSpain right now and it’s a great challenge for me. Many countries have some own perception of eSpain and it’s difficult to change it quickly. Mostly because there is a barrier of mistrust which needs a lot of very hard work to break it. I think that this will happen slowly.

6. The previous CP of Spain got impeached, what is the current internal situation in the country?
Erkaki, the previous CP, has stolen a significant amount of cc and gold; about 1,7kk CC; also has sent two NE, an attempt of Airstrike, a DOW, stop to trade and some MPP with no allies. All that in a month without Congress. Imagine all the problems it may cause.

We are currently surviving, trying to do the best possible job thanks to private donations and help of many our citizens, but in just 9 days is impossible to do much.

Fortunately, eSpain is a strong and accustomed to have an uphill for all the time and all difficulties country. We are confident that the situation will improve now and eSpain won’t choose any controversial presidents with doubtful profiles and engagement.

7. Since the collapse of TWO, Spain transformed from a powerful colonial country to a country which is surrounded by hostile countries and was often deleted in Aurius era. What changed in this one year?
What I have said before, in the last year half of things have not been good. From the second half of TWO eSpain tried to take a role which shouldn’t had to. This has caused much of controversy and ended up with conflicts between the several involved countries.
eSpain has paid the consequences of his attitude throughout 2014. We believe that it is time to move on and forget all those conflicts. It should be taking as a part of the eR history, not the present.

8. What are your thoughts about the recent Polish behaviour, their AS against Georgia, attack against Lithuania and MPP's with Peru, Brazil & Pacifica? Is Spoland dead?
Maybe I am wrong, but this is not the Poland which I used to know, like earlier, fighting against Argentine with eSpain or launching NE law on Serbia recently. Current Poland saddens me, but maybe because Spoland is one of the most important part of my playing in eR.

I think that Airstrike on Georgia and the possible attack on Turkey was some Asteria’s joke. They were convinced to do something, what possibly wouldn’t be completed and it was their intention. We all knew they wouldn’t receive enough support from both sides and will have a large opposition.

The MPP with Peru and Brazil did not seem the result of chance, I think it was a message in the troll-Argentine’s style with expecting some massive attack on Chile-cores regions. Fortunately we all know how that attack has ended 🙂

With regard to war with Lithuania, it has appeared because of polish NAP. They haven’t got many more options and didn’t want to miss the chance to have all resources. Now, when they got it, it’s time to coming back to home, guys xDD

Spoland can’t die, because it has nothing to do with alliances, factions or governments; Spoland is important feeling for Spanish and Polish citizens which, I'm sure, is and will be present in everyone's mind and heart for many eRepublik players.

9. Who are the best allies of Spain, what's the opinion of a casual Spanish citizen?
It’s hard to tell like a normal Spanish citizen because in this moment I’m MoFA, but I can try to say my opinion; and if I speak about demonstrations of support in recent times, certainly I talk about:

1º The great effort made by Croatia in Madrid in previous occupation by Serbia. They showed that really were with us and it is something we won’t forget never.

2º Another much loved and admired country in Spain is Bulgaria. Great warriors in which we can see a kind of mutually supportive relationship. In addition, in RL, the Bulgarian community in Spain is very large and there is no doubt that sooner or later it have also reflect in eRepublik.

3º Chile is like a brother with whom you sometimes quibble a little. We have very similar personalities, both are Latins, passionate and having many things in common. There always will be some friction, but I think that both peoples are mature enough to focus on the positive aspects of this relationship.

4º I can’t forget about Poland. They have done a lot for us. We had their support many times; against the Argentine, when they were deleting Spain, also against Serbia. What can we say about Spoland you don’t know .. I am a staunch defender of Spoland, but needless to say that I don’t like their last movements.

5º Not forgetting to mention about Venezuela, with that country I have a special affection and have always supported us within their means. Humble but very courageous and with special love for their homeland; also self-destructive, with which has something in common with Spain xD but also with a great charm in their people.

6º Albania, Estonia, UK, Italy, are other countries with which we have a great relationship.

The most important thing is everyone knows that like in any good family may appear some scratches, but they don’t hold a grudge. All know that the truly Spain will be always with them.

10. And biggest enemies?
There are many countries that can cause us a lot of damage, but the most destructive enemy for eSpain is the eSpain itself.

11. What is the future of Spain in your opinion?
The number of citizens have increased almost about 300 in recent days. This is encouraged to Spain and means that many exiles returned to trust with us. All that, what is important in the military structure and also in taxes.

The future of Spain in the short and medium term depends on the outputting of Serbia from our core regions. No agreement possible for the moment, and there is no doubt that it will be a big challenge to solve it for Spaniards and their allies.

12. Do you like the recent changes of Plato, what would you like to change if you had the chance?
We'll see what effect it will cause. The issue of new resources can be interesting depending on how often the tournament will repeat itself. The event like this in every 6-9 months can be interesting, with less time tedious.

I don’t like epic battles and I think I would eliminate the issue with COs in eRepublik. Military organization of the country is no longer valid, it's all about how much money can be distributed to COs.

Regarding improvements, I introduce modifications to MPPs. These should be activated only in defence, not attack. The strategy and coordination must be important again in eRepublik and this is what really makes of this game something fun.
