People of eIndonesia:
Is a honor to us, FXY-Color, a little journal from eParaguay
to present a interview to AvanT, your Minister of Economics.
(eParaguay is one of the newest allies of eIndonesia).
We're glad for his consideration, for the time and the answers.
This interview was made with the point of view of our new and
little country and i think we gonna learn a lot from because the
kindest of your Minister. Thanx Avant.

PRE-INTERVIEW:

FXY-Color: Before you complete the interview, i want to say something almost personal: FXYcolor is a Economic-Journal, we try harder don't connect with the political-side of the things. But if you want to put political-stuff in the answers, goahead.

Avant: I'd might consider this is a very good questionnaire. I'll try to respond it with truthfullness in my economic view with less political to appreciate these good questions. Well, nevertheless, the political issues is unbearable to be correlated with the macroeconomic issue 😛

Therefore, before i answer this questionnaires, i would like to introduce you our principal ideology which might shaped our paradigm in setting up political-macroeconomic platform.

Indonesian in real life, is based on both liberal and socialism ideology. We adopted liberalism economy from western countries. And we adopted socialism from Soviet-Eastern Europeans. The basic idea, is to achieve both the liberty and equality. Those particular ideas which the liberal rationalst and utopian socialists value the most respectively.

But, we've been trying our best to reach the consensus among those liberal rationalists and utopian socialists.

We, eIndonesians, through this game, have been trying to build our own "utopia" to implement our concept of "Unity in Diversity" through all aspects of eLife including ideas in erepublik. And still, with fun 🙂

THE INTERVIEW:

1) Some governors don't trust in low taxes as a mecanism to improve the economy. I see eIndonesia have very low taxes. How about the experience with that? How about their experience?

Our tax policy idea is to maintain our high desirability amongst countries in eWorld to live in. We wan't to keep eIndonesia attractive, so we keep it in the lowest level amongs the eWorld.

And in my opinion, economy in erepublik depends on 3 things:

1.high currency/low golds value
2.optimal production,
3.complete region resources

We achieved all those criterion especially no.3. So why would we need more tax revenue while in this rate we could maintain it with our recent tax policy. But sometimes we also need more money when we're going to war. But as long as we win the war and gain more populations from foreign and our own country, we could rely on money issue. Besides, more populations needs more currency 😉

2) You, like minister of economy, can see like most of the greatest countries in eRepublik used to have low taxes. How about the small countrys? Is it applicable too?

I once was an advisor to my friend who runs as minister of economy in eChina in her first days of independence from ePakistan-eIran.In that time, eChina economy was dominated by purely pro liberals (or may i call "right extremist" 😛).

She starts to balance the economy with low taxes policy but with a good determination on economy plan. When she returned to eIndonesia, eChina GDP had been tripled up (even it once touched top #10 in eWorld), high inflation got controlled and population grew.

3) Some people say that eIndonesia is big because some eIndonesians in the past has discover a bug for reate instant gold. If that really happened, maybe the advantages didn't last much, but
eIndonesia is now the more powerfull country in the new world. Can you explain why eIndonesia has
runs a great economy?

No, i guess the admins has got the "flaws" fixed. But, you could say that our economy achievement is greatly as result of our military glory with PeaceGc. However, we won't make it either unless we know what to do after our victory and learn from loss. But i should re-emphasize the three principal targets to reach economic goal. That's quite important part imo.

4) In my country [eParaguay], some citizens thinks that foreigners companys are a threat or a menace to the economy. Something call it like economic-take-over. eIndonesia promote the country for foreign-investments?

Nope, they've been willing to expand by their own initiatives. But i personally used to endorse our GM's to start to make international trade agreement with GM's from our allies before we had karnataka for iron and WSR for wood.

5) When new citizens borns the their work skills are too low and the companys don't give
them opportunities. A solution is that the state have school-companys for training skills.
Do you use that concept in your country? eIndonesia have state-companies?

Of course we have state-companies. We named them BUMN stands for "Badan Usaha Milik Negara" literally means state-owned-company as in real life. BUMN established not only to give newbies "job training", but also to stabilize the prices in marketplace.

6) In your work do you compute the incommings of the state? Like tax-incomming or something?
Can you tell us about it?

For me, yes. That's because we just raise our tax from 10% to 20% for our income tax and 3% to 5% for VAT in all commodities. I want to see how much we gain with that raise. So far, we collect around 6,000 idr daily. With old tax, it's only 4,500 idr daily.

With this daily tax revenue, population, unemployment and average salary in eindonesian economic page, we could estimate tax revenue from income tax and Value Added Tax. Furthermore, along with GDP we could compute how much gold roughly spent for new companies, licences and upgrades in last month. That's why i'd like to compute our tax revenue 🙂

7) For your point of view: The role of the state are...

- Expression manifestation of a nation united in diversity: 50%

- Public service, guiding and help the poors for better life,
an entity to make sure society in order: 50%

😎 Can you tell us about your work like minister of economy in eIndonesia?

As for me, MoE in eIndonesia is an advisor to president in economic matters in strategic level. It's like a researcher but also a policy maker. MoE is both reporter and analyzer in economic reviews. And a MoE should work best with National Bank Director. But well, ministries in eIndonesia depend on who's in charge, though 😃

9) If you want to say something more, please feel free...

In my own opinion, PeaceGC, AHA or any alliances in eWorld should start to make a diplomatic-economic association which its members are the ministers in economic or finance domain from each country. Maybe we could at least to share our progress and knowledge each others. Or even, we could make many innovations or suggestions to admins for the game mechanics for more improved economic instruments. I think it would be a good idea to make this game more interesting than merely "a wargame" 😃

10) Minister AvanT, in the name of FXY-color, thanks for your time and your consideration. It was a great honor to us.

It's me who thank you to be given a good opprtunity to answer these good questions 🙂

for the consideration. This is a gift for FXYcolor and for our
country. Citizens from eParaguay are really grateful with
eIndonesia for the alliance that we're now.
I think this interview (who was published in eParaguay too,

both countries.
