in den letzten Wochen habe ich ein wenig mit dem Import und Export von Waren experimentiert. Die Motivation dazu kam durch den Preisverfall von Rohstoffen in eÖsterreich: Ich konnte nicht mehr ökonomisch sinnvoll Rohstoffe am Heimatmarkt verkaufen.

Nach ein paar Tagen Hin- und Herüberlegen habe ich mir dann eine Lizenz für den Markt in eSlowenien gegönnt. 20 Gold sind eine Menge für einen jungen Bürger für mich, aber - so viel vorweg - die waren schnell wieder eingespielt.

Die Situation vor ein paar Wochen liess enorme Margen beim Handel zu: Rohstoffe für Nahrung wurden teilweise für 0.01 ATS, in grösseren Menge einmal die Woche zu 0.02 ATS, und fast immer zu 0.03 ATS gehandelt. In eSlowenien blieb der Preis aber relativ stabil bei 0.04 SKR. Gewinne von 0.01 - 0.03 pro exportiertem Nahrungsmittel-Rohstoff waren also erzielbar.

Bei Rohstoffen für Waffen sah das nicht ganz so dramatisch aus, aber ein Kauf zu 0.05 ATS und Verkauf zu 0.07 SKR war fast immer möglich.

Diese Art der Handelsgewinne wird möglich, weil unser Heimatmarkt recht klein und dadurch volatil ist. Kommt ein grosses Paket eines einzelnen Spielers günstig auf den Markt, dann bliebt es dort eine Weile verfügbar.

Bringt man in einem grosen Markt wie eSlowenien ein viel benötigtes Produkt zu einem günstigeren Preis als dem Marktpreis heraus, ist es sofort weg.

Man braucht ein paar Dinge für das Nutzen von Preisdifferenzen:

- Ein grosses Lager (meins hat momentan Platz für 53.000 Waren)
- Eine "Kriegskasse", mit der man sein Lager auch voll kaufen kann (bei mir ca. 3000 ATS)
- Eine Lizenz für einen kleinen und dadurch recht volatilen Markt (bei mir der Heimatmarkt, eÖsterreich)
- Eine Lizenz für einen großen und dadruch recht stabilen Markt (bei mir eSlowenien)

In einer Variante kann man das Spiel auch allein auf dem Heimatmarkt spielen. Man kauft sofort alles "Sonderangebote" auf und verkauft sie gemütlich mit Geduld und Gewinn.

Die Lage hat sich seit dem etwas entspannt. Ganzso grosse Gewinne sind im Moment nicht möglich, da eine Preisdifferenz von z.B. 0.06 ATS zu 0.08 SKR gerade einmal ein Gewinn von 33% hergibt wo früher ein Gewinn von 300% möglich war.

Ah und vielen Dank an dieser Stelle den Spielern, die schnell viele Rohstoffe zu einem sehr günstigen Preis loswerden wollten 😉


Over the last few weeks I experimented a bit with exporting / importing goods. I was motivated by the severe price drop for resources in eAustria a few weeks back: I wasn't able to sell resources on the local market in an economically reasonable fashion anymore.

After giving it a few days to think about, I purchased a licence for the eSlovenian market. 20 gold is a lot for a young player, but - that much I can tell - I got them back quite quickly.

THe situation on the markets a few weeks back allowed for tremendous margins when trading across countries: Resources for food were priced 0.01 ATS a few times, larger amounts could be had for 0.02 ATS at least once a week, and they were always available for 0.03 ATS. At the same time, the price in eSlovenia was quite stable at 0.04 SKR. You could realize profits of 0.01 - 0.03 ATS per sold good.

The same principle, although not as drastically, was applicable to resources for weapons. Buying them for 0.05 ATS and selling at 0.07 SKR was almost always possible.

This kind of arbitrage is possible, because our local market in eAustria is very small and therefore quite volatile. If a player sells a large amount of goods for a cheaper price than the market, his package will still last for quite a while.

If you do the same on the eSlovenian market, the package is gone in seconds.

A few ingredients are required for exporting/importing goods with a good profit:

- Large storage (53,000 goods in my case - should be even more)
- Money reserves, to be able to fill your storage space should chance present itself (3,000 ATS in my case)
- A licence for a small, and therefore volatile market (the local market in my case - eAustria)
- A licence for a big, and therefore stable market (eSlovenia in my case)

You can play a smaller investment variant of the game, too. Just buy on the local, volatile market whenever an opportunity shows up. The sell later, when prices are back to normal. Patience needed in this setup.

Since trading was so profitable, things have changed a bit back to normal. Prioces differences between countries are from 0.06 ATS to 0.08 SKR, more profit is not to be had at the moment. Profits can still be 33 percent, but the 300 percent of about two months ago is impossible these days.
