If all glittered, we would seek not gold

"There was a time I used to look in my fathers eyes, in a happy home... I hear the songs from the places where I was born" - Swedish House Mafia.
Having started with a light sense, I'd like to return to my old intellectual haunts of writing articles. For this purpose, I'm giving you a translation of one of Iqbal's poems, a verse:
"Though the terror of the sea gives to none security,
in the secret of the shell,
self-preserving we may dwell"
It serves as a perfect euphanism for the time being, for many things. Both good and bad, both past and present and most importantly, that which we only know is in our heart of hearts; the hearts of men. I'd like to add in a quote from a Chinese philospher here about how men ought to be supple, but I think that would be too deep for the demographic I'm going for. That said, I'll leave a hyper link
to my last article.
One of the great things I have enjoyed in eRepublik is perhaps the unnamed module: the social module. That and politics. I have always neglected the obvious aspects of this game though: the economy and war. For I feel they are boring, they are not the area which sets the heart to beat faster. I allowed my political, come social, adversaries to take the battlefield and the economy; in due course, as I knew, they would try to taunt me with their shiny silvers and gold. To get a "one up". I didn't mind because I found dominating something completely makes things boring; my opponent's defeats in one module and their triumph in another always gave them something to play for. And most crucially, it meant giving Pakistan an all-round competitive edge, people weren't shepherded in one direction. I've been a big fan of pluralism.
So the niceties and thoughts to one side, I'd like to clear up a few things regarding:

Firstly, aoval is in no way associated with PRF. The buck stops there. He was one of the reasons the party was created in the first place, among other reasons I shall delve into.
Secondly, PRF has always been about welcoming players of all RL nationalities to Pakistan, including Dioists. It was after all myself that eased in McFarland's Exodus to Pakistan and lobbied for them to be allowed entry. Many times in the past, we've spared voters to help VA survive PTO and the attempts of take over by others. Bozli can attest to this.
Thirdly, I have no relation to gripes about who controls the State Bank and that sort of affair. I settled that the last time I came out of hiatus and I'm in no mood to go over things already gone over. That which I do have a problem is the fact the Constitution isn't being followed; thus, we're left to shitters politically and damaging infighting.
I don't agree with all that Ahsan does and I have quarrelled with him in the past, extensively, I may add. But I do know he stands for what is right, perhaps the means to an end may produce a splintering between us now and again, but the end we both want to achieve is the same.
I'll jump to a conclusion because I don't have much of a pulse for this game anymore. The infighting Jakal (i.e., DPP since he pulls the purse strings) and others (dodial, Ahsan, etc) have is causing fun to dissapate from this community. Nobody's simply having fun no more and our energies are invested in making our little sub-groups stronger, rather than the community as a whole.
Once we start seeing past petty disputes for the good of the whole, then, and only then, can we truly enjoy these Republican Pixels. Live and let live. Politics is a rotating game and we're stuck on a turning of the wheel long since past. Make anew. We have all done good and bad, and as I shall leave with a quote from the great Imam Rumi:
"A nation ceases to exist when it fails to distinguish between right and wrong".

Pakistan is a coherent mess not because of decentralisation, but because of centralisation that is wrongly applied creating undesired decentralisation.
The part you are mistaken is that I pull all the strings in DPP, Ahsan might write about empowerment but I have already empowered people. Sparkfyre is the boss of the largest political party, TheCaliph has a foreign network that ensures the best possible diplomatic solution for any situation we are in. Strywgr has the largest contact database of mercs we can call on when we need to, Mohammad Bilal now runs the largest military unit of Pakistan, st0l3n1 was responsible for founding an alliance so it's easier for the people who hate DPP to single out one person I.e. Me but the ground reality is totally different. Those who have the time and want to be involved are accepted and given responsibilities.
Decisions are taken by some members but not all because the level of involvement varies. As for VA and Somaka we at DPP value them and respect them because statistically they are what makes our enemies think twice.
We defeated Belarus, FYROM and multiple Indian assaults because DPP isn't a one man show, it's a machine of pure awesomeness operated by several individuals.
As for Ahsan and Dodial well Ahsan no doubt on occasions has good ideas but atleast in the years I have been around he has been unable to follow through and as for dodial he's just a jealous little kid who has no importance left in Pakistan.
If you recall i tried to work with you but you too have the tendency of talking the big talk but are unable to deliver on results, information from dioists and other older players doesn't correlate with the self importance and credit you give yourself.
So yes the only people creating chaos and disunity are those who are attempting to lead from their bunkers which they seldom leave.
I didn't say you didn't pull the strings, I said the fact you did is a problem. Much like string pulling everywhere. The rest of your post also confirms what I wrote: we must do things in the NATIONAL and not PARTY interest. Politics is fleeting. A dominant party system cannot exist if it does not have a form of working pluralism to allow for a wider one nation mantle to exist.
I don't see why you're talking as if I have a problem with VA. As I've said before, I lobbied successfully for Exodus to be in Pakistan and was pretty much a go-between mediator at the height of it.
Most of what you have, undeniably, is because of gold. The problem many people have with you is that you try to use it to gain influence unfairly (as kualkerr did, which is why he was never big weight domestically).
Ahsan and others have done a lot for Pakistan, it's just that it hasn't really been followed through by others (in the natural order of things in Pakistan). That said, I have yet to see your baby boom happen, which you so promised. On that note, let me know how it goes.
Defeating India and FYROM and such is something that happens. Everybody's had their tactical glory on the battlefield at some point. For me, now? I'd have no interest in the battlefield past ensuring territorial sovereignty.
What you have in Pakistan, as ever, is a group of individuals doing work over a real structure. This is evident in the lack of continuation of policies and initiatives; we have no truly working Education (at all) or MoD. So progress hasn't been made, it's the same story with different characters in different roles.
I'd like to know which older players you talked to. Feel free to breeze through my older articles when I was President to get a feel for things. Most of the work I did though, was ATO. Which is behind the shadows stuff. We parted because I didn't like the fact you were trying to consolidate everything around yourself, which is something I opposed people for.
I said I don't pull the strings but hey you know better what I do or don't do.
It's not my fault you can't read, neither have a braincell to spare between the cohort of yourselves. I've been away for months, so, naturally, I haven't been in a position to "step up". But my track record speaks for itself. On gold, I'll leave you to re-read what I've already written; I doubt anything overtly intellectual would be comprehendable, at any basic level, by yourself.
^ This sort of attitude is the problem. It's your ego that needs to go, Jakal.
Riight, so I say I don't pull the strings and that you know better and I have an attitude problem and an ego.
Clearly one doesn't have a better understanding of another's conscious, sub or overt; that's the obvious point. The crux is the fact you chose to reply in a way that was attempting to be high-and-mighty; you do not take criticism, that is your problem. You've ignored the vast majority of the paragraph too, citing other problems. It seems, unfortunately, you play a game of style over substance. Which is easy, due to the fact most people flock to gold. But overall, it's bad for the community.
Riight, so because I buy gold and spend it and share it, its bad for the community... and yes if I compare myself with you, I am higher and mightier but sadly you won't see that or accept that but hey when the game values ideas more than action, for sure you will be higher and mightier.
I have said this to the kids at PTI and I'll say it to you, step up or shut up. You and your gang of loonies talk and talk and talk but have failed to deliver one community building iniative.
I accept the fact that you come here to troll and I find it quite amusing, can I bank on you to do something? Nah, can Pakistan bank on you to do something, no sir.
You are Policy the entertainment channel, so carry on with your analysis and stop blaming gold for the weakness that runs through the blood of PRF. Not my fault you don't buy or don't have people that buy.
Hail Policy
Hail PRF
Hail Pakistan
policy yar tere angrezzi yaar........kya mast likhta ha tu.
voted for angeezzi......
Oh, and the fact you got the State Bank banned for multing does raise questions about your source of gold.
1. I wasn't CP , 2. the person who did multi got banned and 3. the CP at the time accepted his mistake and repaid in full.
So you can raise all the questions you like but my personal source of gold is not from multis.
Still, the blame lies at your party's door. This is me not even attempting to play politics.
For real, DPP fully accepted that we were responsible but than you can blame us for everything else that has happened int he last 2 years good or bad because we are the only people that do things.
Hard to blame/credit PRF for anything when they do nothing, ahh wait, you count the many pointless useless articles as some sort of media achievement.
Competition time, PRF can lead the way and try not to use the gold excuse its getting old and boring.
