High Tea with Infowar

Day 2,445, 13:25 Published in Australia Australia by LordGrantham

With the upcoming presidential elections in mind, I have invited all of the presidential candidates to my smoking room. Over brandy and cigars, we can talk about politics and their views for our country. To keep it fair and unbiased, all candidates are presented the same brandy, the same cigars and the same questions. Their answers remain unedited.

First up is Infowar. He seems eager, as I light his cigar.

Welcome Infowar, and thank you for joining me today. For starters, could you briefly introduce yourself to the public?

I am Infowar, I am RL Australian, I work in the logistics industry here in Sydney, and I love Australia very much 🙂

So, why did you decide to run for president ?

I decided to run for President for several reasons. First of all I had not intended on running for CP until later on in the year, but a few unexpected things occurred. There are a few things going on internally with the current alliances and the current CP had suggested to me that I should run for CP as he would not be running a second term. That kind of put the idea into my mind that I should run now, and I thought that if I don't do it now, maybe I will just make excuses and never end up doing it in the future.

I see. Should you get elected, what can people expect from you? Do you have any big plans or projects?

If I am elected people should probably expect a lot of action. I am not one who likes to whistle dixie and watch the grass grow, I like adventure, and I like action, and I like interacting with people from all walks of life. If the right opportunity presents itself, I am not afraid to try something different and explore new boundaries either.

I do have plans: Mostly I will be consolidating relations with certain allies which I believe will benefit this nation very much. There will be a lot of new MPPs, and I will be negotiating with Greece to do my best to either get us another region, or find other alternative solutions. I do have other plans, but I don't want to make impossible promises.

Some of you are thinking of getting Chile out etc.. Anyone who says that they will get Aurora out of our territories without an NAP or an enormous budget and strong geopolitical and military connections doesn't understand the current situation. I will definitely shake things up for Aurora..

I have ideas to cause Aurora problems and try to get them out, but I understand how difficult this task is. I do believe (although it won't be easy) that it is possible to get FYROM out though, Chile on the other hand, is far more difficult. . I will explain the reasons for that in my platform which I intend to release very soon..

Other plans I have are to try and make our MUs become better coordinated. We really need more communication between government and our MUs. Most other countries will fight willingly for their allies, and that's the reason why they always get help and support - what goes around comes around. We need to understand that when we help our allies, they will help us when we are in need in the future.

For example: eSweden gave everything for us against FYROM this week, they really put everything aside and directed all their battles to help a friend, they aren't the biggest nation on eRep, but they cared enough to help a mate out. We need to do the same when friends like that are in need. This is how friendships are built, and these kind of bonds are the answer to future salvation and growth. When you make close bonds with one nation, other doors open.

Using Sweden is a perfect example: When strengthened relations with Norway just before the new alliances were formed (Norway is one of the smallest countries in eRep, but we have developed a great friendship with them) One of the leading political figures of Norway is now the SC of Asgard, and I believe that is what has lead to our new close relationship with Sweden. So one good friendship leads to another. And people should understand that you can have all the so called allies you want, but if you don't have their hearts they will not really fight for you, and I believe that was the heart of eAustralia's problems in the past.. During the TWO alliance no one cared about us (except for Poland and sometimes UK). But now we have built and continue to build strong foreign policy which is the reason why eAustralia is succeeding on the eworld stage lately.

Another project I would like to work on is expanding Saiwun's Future Generation project. I would like to help younger members learn about the inner workings of the government in order to train the new leaders for eAustralia's future. I will be making an effort with that also.

I also intend to keep watch and try to resolve certain dangerous, internal political threats with have popped up recently.

Ambitious indeed. In one sentence, why should people vote for you?

I think people should vote for me because I have Australia's future at heart, and my intentions are good for this nation.

As always, you're not the only candidate in this elections. If you could ask your opponents in this presidential race one question, what would it be?

I would ask my opponents to ask themselves their true motives for running, and if those motives are for selfish reasons or for the greater good of the players of this game?

To end on a lighter note, in this article, we read how the president was implicated in a drug party scandal. Which scandal are you most likely to end up with if you are elected as president?

I am not sure what kind of scandal I would be likely to end up in. But I think that I probably won't know what it is until I wake up and read about it in the newspaper. When I find out it will be the same time that everyone else finds out I reckon 🙂

Thank you for the interview and best of luck in the upcoming elections.
