Day 2,136, 12:59 Published in USA USA by Whiskey Jack

We have heard a lot about how Country>MU>Party>self lately. I personally believe there is some truth behind this slogan & I have never considered myself a "fair-weather citizen", but I have been called such in the last day. To those who think that this is the case: I have done over 3.4 billion in damage for the USA, and I have stayed through two full wipes. I help the ATO efforts every chance that I get, and I always vote where I am needed. I donate to my MU over 6000 WRM a day for use in the commune in order to have weapons available for fellow fighters while almost never taking supply for myself. I invest the gold from my BH, SS & TP medals back into WRM companies to increase how much I can give, and any excess WRM that I give is sold by our quartermasters to fund COs.

But I simply cannot afford to keep up that level of supply with the new tax, and so I am changing citizenship to a country with a lower tax burden.

My inability to afford the new 10% work tax hurts the country in a several ways. First, if I cannot afford to produce WRM because of the tax then my MU will eventually have to reduce supplies to our fighters. Second, if I cannot afford to work because of the tax then the government actually makes less money from me than if they left the tax at a level which I could afford. Third, if the gold that I receive from medals must be converted to CC in order to pay the tax (and the gold from the medals would not even keep up with the new tax), then I cannot afford to build new companies, which means less excess being sold to fund COs and less tax being brought in from the sale of those WRMs. So I believe that I am making this move out of the country not for myself, but for my MU and my country. I will still fight for the eUSA, and I will come back as I am able to participate in ATO activities, but I cannot stay while this tax makes it impossible to maintain my current production. It is how I feel that I can do the most good for the eUSA. So take the time to think it through before just blindly following what those in government tell you is good for the country.
