Five days ago I was robbed.

Five days ago I logged onto eRepublik expecting fun to be had and noticed that all of my money had been taken.

My 120 gold and 200+ CAD that I had worked for over a year (I was born on day 500) to accumulate and never once spending RL cash had been stolen.

Although my password is incredibly secure, not ever shared, and I'm not at all a "high profile" citizen, I assumed like many other out there that I had been hacked, robbed, and left to die.

After talking to other people on IRC I quickly realized that I was not the only one. And shortly there after came the revelation that those responsible were using a cookie sniffer embedded in a java applet to get login info and rob people. To make matters worse the advisor in the top right of my screen also informed me that "All we did was rob you LOLZ". So clearly the damage done was much more widespread then simply taking citizens money.

Although this is clearly the faults of the admins and programmers at eRepublik for allowing this sort of malicious content to be posted via articles in their game I was sure that it would be rectified quickly since so many people were effected.

Apparently I was mistaken.

As I said it was been 5 days. I have submit 4 tickets. I have received 0 response. I haven't even seen something from the admins acknowledging the problem and that they're working on fixing it.

This is unacceptable. Something needs to be done. In a game where everything relies on the constant spending of gold (boosters, combat, etc...) to be left empty handed virtually cripples an eCitizen.

So please vote, link, and pass on this article to anyone else that fell victim to this. If enough people are vocal about this maybe something will be done about it.
