First National Bank
The President of United States - Korbin King, trying to find a solution to lower the unemployement rate in US, came up creating the first bank in Erepublik.
Federal Reserve Bank will be a tool that the US administration will use to support the economy by giving loans to the Citizens that want to launch start-ups in Erepublik.

The Gift Industry was launched. It is based on the same rules as the other industries. The cost of production for a gift is 2 productivity (twice the cost of food) while the benefit is that the person who buys the gift will be able to give it to a friend who will receive an extra wellness value equal to the quality of the gift.
Other changes that we've applied:
- the Message Inbox was split between alerts and messages.
- there are now taxes on donations - received by the country of the Citizen that receives the donations (if the donation is in a national currency) or by Erepublik (if the donation is in Gold). The tax value is equal to the medium income tax of the receiver's Country.

You should have some kind of notice when you get an alert because now people don´t notice when they get a job offer.

So what is erepublik supposed to represent? Some kind of god like nation that can tax independent nations donations? What a stupid idea.
Well now, you just went and made my loan process a hell of a lot more difficult. You have also messed up some of my other plans. Why are you taxing donations? If anything, let countries decide if they want donations taxed. Please explain.

Seconding the need for a new alerts notification, as I was sitting on 5 job offers without even realising it.
thirding the need for alerts notification. only realised I had alerts after reading this. no email and no message at the top bar telling me I have an alert. not a very alerting alert system at the mo
there are now taxes on donations have no sense. Donations are not really donations most of the time, are the only way to transfer money from one player to another. We are using it for example to support associations between playes. A tax on donations will mean a double or triple tax most of the cases....

It's amazing, like in real life!! I hope education and environmental problem will involve to the game soon. More realistic and complex problem will give more challenge here.
