La batalla de Asturias ha supuesto el impulso definitivo para la reconquista de España. Un día glorioso, una victoria épica, tras la que no debemos olvidar que el trabajo no está terminado, aunque hoy se haya dado un paso de gigante para lograrlo. La alegría ha venido acompañada de la liberación de Cataluña y de Ontario, Canadá, que harán que el día 650 del Nuevo Mundo sea recordado por muchos meses. Varios hechos han hecho posible este inolvidable triunfo sobre PEACEgc, hechos que conviene que repasemos para situarnos de manera adecuada en el contexto presente.

16k GOL😨 Un regalo envenenado



El tremendo error cometido por el gobierno español, traspasando 16000 GOLD a una empresa en venta que compraron los húngaros, puso a España en el punto de mira de las bromas de medio mundo y condenó al país a una derrota segura. Los ahorros de meses, perdidos por un error absurdo, daban presumiblemente el espaldarazo definitivo a PEACE (y a Francia en particular) para derrotar y humillar a España, un objetivo largamente perseguido. La moral de los españoles estaba por los suelos. Sin embargo, tal cantidad de dinero en manos de PEACE se convirtió paradójicamente en un regalo envenenado, pues pronto surgió un agrio debate entre los principales representantes acerca de cómo repartir ese dinero. Dado que la empresa estaba en Francia, unos 7k fueron a manos francesas cuando los húngaros sacaron la mayor parte del dinero mediante el "collect" en la empresa. Hungría (con Feherlo a la cabeza) reclamaba ese dinero, afirmando que eran suyos por derecho propio, mientras que los franceses (cuya postura defendía Matthieu Bonne) consideraban que les pertenecía. Tras una agria disputa, el reparto de esos 7k GOLD quedó en 2600 para Francia y 4400 para un fondo común de PEACE (todo ese dinero ya ha sido gastado hace unos dias, por cierto). La discusión sobre este reparto supuso una clara fractura que no era más que la consecuencia de una asimetría evidente dentro del seno de PEACE, con dos grandes pesos pesados (Hungría e Indonesia) y una pléyade de pequeños actores secundarios deseosos de contentar a aquellos y que en realidad han demostrado ser simples peones de los grandes, sacrificables cuando es necesario.



Valencia, un error histórico



El 20 de Agosto, España estaba contra las cuerdas. Madrid estaba siendo atacada y a punto de caer, PEACE había declarado una RW en Valencia con el fin de dejar a España con una sola región entonces devastada, y Andalucía se encontraba bajo el fuego brasileño. Incomprensiblemente, Brasil había abierto una oportunidad para la esperanza, que pasaba por "vencer" en la RW de Valencia: es decir, que no triunfase la rebelión, que los españoles tuvieran que luchar, paradójicamente, contra la liberación de su propia tierra. PEACE, y en particular los franceses, subestimaron totalmente la capacidad española y de sus aliados para imponerse en Valencia. Pillados los franceses por sorpresa en los minutos finales, los españoles superaron con mucho a los dirigentes franceses en cuanto a visión estratégica, al comprender que Valencia era el todo o nada de la guerra. Resuelta la RW de Valencia conforme a los intereses de los españoles, que buscaban la desaparición de todo el país (para que los pactos de protección mutua se desactivasen), y retirados inmediatamente de Andalucía, todo quedaba fijado a una carta: Madrid. Si el presidente francés, meza, se hubiese retirado de esa batalla, PEACE seguiría con la mano ganadora. Sin embargo, la falta de visión estratégica y el orgullo de no retirarse en una batalla que se vencía por -300k pudieron más que la lógica. Al final, la jugada salió redonda para los intereses españoles, que con la desaparición del país lograron cambiar el curso de la guerra.



Spam Wars: un arma más de la guerra



La conquista de España iba a tener una consecuencia evidente y no prevista por los franceses: llenar su país de una población hostil compuesta por miles de jugadores dispuestos a pelear por todos los medios a su alcance. eRepublik, en gran parte, es la prensa, es lo primero que se encuentra un jugador cuando entra cada día a hacer sus pertinentes clicks. De repente la prensa francesa se había convertido en prensa española, con todo lo que ello conlleva. El alto grado de trolleo y spameo que suele contener per se la prensa española se multiplicaron exponencialmente como no podía ser de otra manera. Lo absurdo era pensar que un país puede ser conquistado de buen grado y sin protestar. Los españoles han sido los primeros en demostrar cómo la prensa puede ser también un arma de guerra, desesperando a la sociedad francesa, entorpeciendo las comunicaciones y órdenes del gobierno, ejerciendo una eficaz labor de desmoralización y confusión general. De repente Francia no parecía "Francia", sino un caos dominado por los articulos en español. Además de este objetivo directo de hostigamiento al enemigo, la invasión de la prensa logró cohesionar como nunca a los españoles, mantener a los novatos enganchados y fomentar un espíritu de combate y unidad hasta ahora nunca visto en España. La "guerrilla" de la prensa ha sido un factor clave en estos días, y debe seguir siéndolo hasta el final de la guerra.



This is España: un país dedicado a la guerra



Una diferencia fundamental está marcando esta guerra y está siendo clave en la reconquista española. Mientras que Francia sigue confiando en una falsa superioridad, fomentada por la creencia ciega en el babyboom como solución de todos los males y en el mito de los 16k GOLD (en realidad ya gastados), España es un país totalmente dedicado a la guerra, con un único objetivo común, con toda su fuerza productiva y militar dedicada a un solo empeño. Los ciudadanos veteranos no han dudado en poner al servicio de la patria su elevada productividad cobrando el salario mínimo, y dedicar sus ahorros personales íntegramente a la guerra, mientras que los más novatos han hecho otro tanto sin dudarlo. La pérdida del dinero del estado ha sido suplida por un compromiso a una escala sin precedentes en la historia del Nuevo Mundo. La resistencia, el espíritu de guerrilla, la voluntad indomable de recuperar todo nuestro territorio, es imposible que pueda ser igualada por una Francia que, en el fondo, tan solo peleaba por el control de un recurso natural como era el hierro de Asturias.



EDEN juega en equipo



Si bien es cierto que la ayuda de PEACE a Francia ha sido más decisiva, España no habría podido recuperar Asturias por si sola. La ayuda de los aliados ha sido fundamental, vital. No solo por la contribución tangible desde el punto de vista militar, sino por la brillante estrategia conjunta de múltiples ataques para dividir las fuerzas, con la consciencia de que en el 1vs1 España ganaría a Francia; cuanto más se acercase la guerra a esa situación, mayores serían las posibilidades de victoria para los españoles. A ello hay que sumar la excelente coordinación entre grandes grupos de soldados y el dominio indiscutible del tempo de las batallas: ello ha permitido que el tanqueo empleado haya sido mucho menor que el del lado de PEACE, que ha actuado como un nuevo rico tanqueando y derrochando gold a manos llenas, por encima de lo razonable para las arcas de los países implicados. Mientras que EDEN trabajaba en equipo, en PEACE cada vez las tensiones eran mayores y la división creciente, hasta saltar en mil pedazos en el día de ayer.



El incomprensible derroche francés



Como ya señalábamos en un anterior artículo, Francia ha empleado sus recursos económicos de una manera más que dudosa, dando gold a pseudo-tanques, como por ejemplo Skzapa, generales de fuerza 11. Podríamos pensar que esa situación fue producto de la precipitación en la anterior batalla de Asturias, pero inexplicablemente se reprodujo ayer de nuevo, repitiendo las donaciones a varios de los pseudo-tanques mencionados en el artículo anterior, o dando dinero a otros nuevos como Lyne Faynel, con fuerza 13.48, que ayer recibió 120 Gold en total, por parte del estado y de Matthieu Bonne (quien recordemos, tenía pendientes de repartir o gastar más de 200 GOLD recibidos durante la anterior batalla). Lyne Faynel ayer estuvo comprando y repartiendo armas a través de diferentes OR francesas, pero efectivamente tanqueó a nivel personal con ese dinero (según Matthieu suyo propio, pero de nuevo recordemos el dinero -más de 200 GOLD- que quedó "colgado" de la anterior RW de Asturias). De manera directa, entre la Banque Centrale Française y el Ministerio de Economia Francés, se repartieron 1500 GOLD (visibles), en gran parte a pseudo-tanques , sumados a los 2800 G gastados en la anterior batalla. 4300 GOLD más lo que se haya movido a través de otras OR o del mercado monetario, gastados sobretodo en "tanques" de fuerza 13, 14 o incluso 11. Cabe preguntarse quienes son los que han recibido ese gold, quienes son sus amistades... pero eso deberá ser tarea de los propios franceses si quieren realmente transparencia con su propia élite gobernante. A las críticas por ese reparto, el propio meza, presidente de francia, ha señalado que se repartió a "quienes estaban disponibles". Cabe pensar entonces que si no se tienen soldados de más alto nivel disponibles la decisión de Francia de emprender la invasión de uno de los países con mayor rango militar del Nuevo Mundo fue correcta o no. Cabe pensar también si no habría sido más adecuado repartir el dinero a tanques extranjeros con mayor nivel y no en quienes se repartió... pero de nuevo, eso es tarea de la sociedad francesa.



En definitiva, una serie de factores que nos han llevado a la presente situación, por ahora muy favorable a España. Sin embargo, no debemos olvidar que el trabajo no ha terminado, que debemos mantener el empuje, que nuestro tesón y nuestra fuerza, y la ayuda leal de nuestros aliados, ya hermanos de sangre para siempre, nos llevarán a la victoria final, sin lugar a dudas.

ENGLISH VERSION


The Battle of Asturias has meant the final push forward for the reconquest of Spain. A glorious day, an epic victory, after which we should not forget that the work is not finished yet, though today has supposed a giant step to achieve this. The joy has been accompanied by the release of Catalonia and Ontario, Canada, that will make day 650 of the New World to be remembered for many months. Several events have made possible this memorable triumph over PEACEgc, facts that should be reminded to position ourselves properly in the present context.


16k GOL😨 A poisoned chalice



The great mistake committed by the Spanish government, shifting 16,000 GOLD for sale to a company that was immediately bought the Hungarians, put Spain in the focus of the jokes of the New World and condemned the country to a unavoidable defeat. The savings of months, lost due to an absurd mistake, presumably gave the ultimate accolade for Peace (and France in particular) to provide an humiliating defeat for Spain, a goal long pursued. Spanish morale was low. However, this amount of money in the hands of PEACE paradoxically became a poisoned chalice, because soon it arose a bitter debate among the leading representatives about how to distribute that money. Since the company was in France, 7k GOLD went to French hands when the Hungarians took the most part of the money through the "collect" button in the company page. Hungary (with Feherlo) claimed that money, saying it was theirs on their own right, while the French (whose position was defended by Matthieu Bonne) thought was theirs. After a bitter dispute, the distribution of these 7k GOLD was 2600 for France and 4400 for a Peace account (all that money was already spent a few days ago, by the way). The discussion of this deal meant a clear divide in the alliance, which was only the consequence of an asymmetry evident inside PEACE, with two big heavyweights (Hungary and Indonesia) and a host of smaller players eager to please them; those secondary actors have actually proven to be mere pawns of the great, and expendable when necessary.



Valencia, a historical mistake



On August 20th, Spain was on the ropes. Madrid was under attack and about to fall, PEACE had declared a RW in Valencia in order to leave Spain with a single devastated region, and Andalusia was under fire by Brazil. Unbelievably, Brazil had opened an opportunity for hope, which passed by "winning" in Valencia RW: namely, to avoid the triumph of the rebellion, so the Spanish had to fight, ironically, against the release of their own land. PEACE, particularly the French, completely underestimated the ability of Spanish and its allies to prevail in Valencia. The French caught by surprise in the final minutes, the Spanish greatly exceed the French leaders in terms of strategic vision, understanding that Valencia was an all-in in the war. Finally finished the RW at Valencia with a favourable result for Spaniards, who sought the demise of the entire country (so mutual protection pacts would be deactivated) and immediately retreated from Andalusia battle, everything was left to a final play: Madrid. If the French president, meza, would have withdrawn from this battle, PEACE could have continue with the winning hand. However, the lack of strategic vision and the excess of pride (not retiring in a battle that was being won by more than -300k) imposed to logic reasoning. In the end, the play went round to Spanish interests, with the disappearing of the country that changed the course of the war.



Spam Wars: a weapon of war



The conquest of Spain had an obvious consequence not intended by the French: to fill their country with a hostile population consisting of thousands of players ready to fight by all means at their disposal. eRepublik, largely, is the press, it is the first thing a player sees when he comes every day to do his routine clicks. Suddenly the French press had become the Spanish press, with all that that entails. The elevated content of trolling and spam that is usual in Spanish press got multiplied exponentially as it could not be otherwise. It was absurd to think that a country can be conquered willingly and without protest. The Spanish have been the first to demonstrate how the press can also be a weapon of war, by despairing the French society, hindering communication and orders of government, exercising effective work of demoralization and confusion. Suddenly France did not seem "France", but a chaos dominated by articles in Spanish. In addition to the direct target of the enemy harassment, invasion of the press managed to unite as never before the Spanish, noobs kept attached to the game, and fostered a spirit of struggle and unity as it has never seen before in Spain. The press "guerrilla" has been a key factor these days, and must remain so until the end of the war.



This is España: a country devoted to war



A fundamental difference is characterizing this war and is still a key to the Spanish conquest. While France continues to rely on a false superiority, fostered by the blind belief in babyboom as a solution of all problems and the myth of the 16k GOLD (actually already spent), Spain is a country totally devoted to war, with one common goal, with its full force and military production dedicated to a single endeavor. The senior citizens have not hesitated to put its high productivity at the service of his country working by the minimum salary, and personal savings have been devoted entirely to the war, while the noobs have done so without hesitation. The loss of state money has been supplemented by a commitment on a scale unprecedented in the history of the New World. Resistance, the guerrilla spirit, the indomitable will to recover all our territory, can not possibly be matched by France which, in the end, was just fighting for the control of a natural resource (high iron in Asturias).



EDEN plays as a team



While the aid of PEACE to France has been more decisive, Spain could not have recovered Asturias just on its own. The assistance from the allies has been fundamental, vital. Not only for the tangible contribution from the military standpoint, but for the brilliant strategy of multiple attacks together to divide the enemy forces, with the knowledge that Spain would win in 1vs1 to France; as war comes closer to this situation, greater would be the chances of victory for the Spanish. It must be added also the excellent coordination between large groups of soldiers and the undisputed command of the tempo of battle: this has allowed the employ much less tanking than PEACE side, which has acted as "nouveau riches" wasting gold with both hands, above what is reasonable for the coffers of the countries involved. While EDEN was working as a team, in PEACE tensions and division was growing, to jump into a thousand pieces yesterday.



The French waste incomprehensible



As we pointed out in a previous article, France has used its economic resources in a more than doubtful way, giving gold to pseudo-tanks, such as Skzapa, general of strength 11. We might think that this situation was the result of precipitation in the previous Battle of Asturias, but inexplicably it was repeated again yesterday, with donations to several of the pseudo-tanks mentioned in the previous article, or giving money to other new as Lyne Faynel, 13.48 strength, which yesterday received 120 Gold in total, by the state and by Matthieu Bonne (who let us remember, had more than 200 GOLD received during the previous battle pending to be shared or spent). It should also be considered whether it would have been more appropriate to give the money to stronger foreign tanks, not who those it was handed ... but again, this is the task of French society.



In summary, a number of factors that have led us to this situation, by now very favorable to Spain. However, we must not forget that the job is not done, we must maintain the momentum, since our tenacity and our strength, and the loyal support of our allies, blood brothers forever, will lead to ultimate victory, without doubt.
