Hello eUK people
Iv recently joined the game so idk really whats going on here and gov.
I know mr.woldy is dictator and controls all but i don't know the cp is along with him or not.
However he is in charge !
I don't know if we have Ministry of Economy or not.
So im asking of government
Why we have 4% work tax for all items that applies to our production when we have less 1000 population and 5% VAT on food and 3% VAT on weapon that will be 9% of food production cost and 7% of weapon production cost!
And import tax as low as 1% isnt weird?
I know we have less population than other countries have especially eastern europe countries (poland,serbia...)
And also less production But our production is good enough so we really dont need many imports as much as what is in our market you could see there is very much imports in our market
That really sucks, uk citizens now struggling to have a sale on market and they forced to put products for a less price and have loss!
After all i dont know really whats goin on !!!
Does a group controling our country ? That theres benefits for them in our market and gathering from taxes?!
Or theres a mafia? i dont know people.
But i know theres something that we need to find out!

After this resource wars we have to company placement
- company owners will have period of time after resource wars finish to site their companies in the physical (ie pick a region)
- A citizen can split their companies into multiple regions.
- A citizen isnt bound to put companies in the nation that matches their citizenship.
-companies can be moved, but there is an unknown restriction that will be placed on this.
Certainly it will cost money.
Production after resource wars will be calculated as follows:
Total national bonus (of country owning the region) plus part of region bonus minus
Pollution factor, based on the number of "works" that occurred there the previous eday.

It follows then, the maximum national bonus is 100%(all five resources) and the maximum region bonus is 90% (common,uncommon,rare and very rare) the proportion of region bonus,and the effect of pulltion is at this stage unknown.
What should be obvious to all of us is this: eUK citizens are not bound to put their companies in eUK controlled regions.
At current tax rates, each WaM by click of eUK citizen earns treasury 4 GBP.
By contrast to pick an example Poland charges same work tax as uk does but our bonuses may be slighty lower than Poland and eastern eu countries.
But they have 99% taxes on importing products of food,weapon...etc
Its a big difference in governments.
I would like government consider reducing our work tax rates to the interests of not having our entrepreneurs flee for green pastures in next week.
Also we need a raising on import taxs to prevent of big losses.
I don't know if congress could help on this but we havnt clear reports of government that what they are doing.
Or in which areas they spending budget.
Hopefully we can get responses of government.

We go through this every term you can't strike a favourable balance. People complain we don't have enough money for military and combat orders so we raise taxes slightly and they still complain. Our taxes are relatively low and we currently have a good bonus, they will probably drop after this resource wars event. As for the import of goods we can do that the only problem is the lack of UN industry on certain products, meaning that some may not exist if it weren't for foreign investment. I've certainly seen that before. and often the lowest prices I've seen are imported as opposed to the UK homemade products which are more expensive usually.

we were already at war with the netherlands. they are all training wars so non hostile, simply only for the resource war. Netherlands is being spoken to about ending it. god knows where to fight? Read the mod articles. We are to win USA and France resistance wars, lose the other france and USA battles.
spending budget, its entirely in the MoD this month for weapons, cheap reduced weapon prices, MPPs and Combat orders, not that they have been of much use meaning they will go into next months budget surplus.
There's no fear of our power being reduced, all of these wars are planned and not hostile

Congress is an entirely separate issue to government. they are free to propose and legislate on any matter they see fit, and if voted through the government and Woldy will ratify it. If they choose not to and their activity is low that's their own fault.

I'd suggest posting your requests for tax changes there as it's Congress that has the power to change that. You may also want to subscribe to that newspaper if you're interested in what Congress is doing as the "Speaker of the House" articles are where all public Congress discussions and proposals are supposed to take place.

Three training wars, at the time the netherlands TW was coming to an end, which the NL government didn't bring up with me they wanted it to continue, however that war has been going on ALL month.
We do need wars. We are building up domination points to win tokens. Without the wars we wouldn't have any resources at all.
We are to win the RWs except netherlands, and this is how the training war works. We also aren't alone. every country in the eworld has a trianing war or two this month.
Congress has all the ability in the world. But guess what. They don't do anything. It's not a case of government not giving them power they have power. Woldy is literally there to keep the government to account and pass laws that congress pass. I can't do anything without congress approval it's not the other way around. I would suggest brushing up on all this before making accusations. Congress can do anything they like, literally anything. If they choose not to that is their own fault, not the governments. Trust me, I have been a congressman many times myself.

If there were any laws that had been proposed, that's where they would be discussed and then voted on. At present there aren't any proposals to discuss, but I agree that we need to take another look at tax rates post-Resource Wars - if you could post there a brief summary of the changes you'd like to see made we can get a discussion, a vote, and hopefully have the new taxes implemented (if the vote is for a change) before the Resource Wars ends.

Wars dont affect our production. The resources we have after these wars will affect our production. We have training wars in order to win resources, however we have bad coordination in the UK and have been lucky to get the resources we currently have. After this month taxes will most likely go down due to the resources we have.

lol we don't choose the capital, it automatically moves when our capital is taken. you could do with a lesson in game mechanics. and it's been unclear to what you mean, yes our production is suffering slightly due to bonus, that is why we lowered the tax rate to compensate, it would have been 6% tax rate.
Our production in the long run is not affected. The training wars have been a neccesity or 6 days from now we would have no future resources at all

I've been playing this for years, and TBH I could do with lessons in game mechanics. They're reasonably obscure and it's almost impossible for people to work it out on their own.
As for Congress, we have a lot of laws on the books - yes, there's a site with all the laws on it - so if we're not passing new legislation, it could possibly be because there is no legislation newly needed!
As for the tax rate, those new won't know but quite a while back we had a couple thieving CPs who stole our money, then we were PTO'd by another country, we've been wiped a few times.... every time, to get our country back (or back on track) has cost a ton of money. For a long time we were on an austerity budget (still are, to an extent) so the increased taxes have been used to not only fund the necessities (no frills in the eUK, guys) but also to build up a buffer which is partly held by "Woldy's Angels" (highly trusted citizens, for disclosure, I'm one of them) so they can't be stolen should we be PTO'd again. Which is less likely because we passed, some time back, a very good law which limits the likelihood of traitors sneaking across our borders.
Razor no disrespect but I really can't understand a lot of your comments here. Our production in the short term is taking a hit, and it will be resolved. the wars are a neccesity and we compensate by lowering the tax rate. Im going to bed, feel free to message me or discuss this tomorrow

Well as you've highlighted much will change after the resource wars are over. We have in the eUK what has become a standard rate of 6% WT when we have all our region and bonuses intact - this is reduced to 1% during a hostile war and has been reduced to 4% for the resource wars as some countries should be paying us our WT back that they collect.
My view is that once the resource wars are over and we know just what production, bonuses etc are available we will need to consider our economy management carefully to see what is best for us, 6% may not be sustainable with limited bonuses.

Also to clarify a point on Work Tax. This is a rate set on the average wage - currently 66.02, meaning at a rate of WT at 4% you pay £2.64 per WAM.

If you work as an employee it does apply the same as the old Income Tax and would be £4.00 on every £100 you were paid.
Resource Wars is yet another new and badly-thought-out idea foisted upon us in hopes we will get out our credit cards and hand over our RL earnings to Plato.... frankly, very few have the time or patience to really delve into how it works. Most, like myself, just hope like mad that we have some players who can follow the intricacies of the new boondoggle.
What is really hurting us is that we're very small and have a large percentage of what we call 2-clickers - people who come online, don't interact with anyone, throw a few missiles in a battle and disappear until the next day.
What we NEED is a lot of fresh new players with the interest to learn the game's ins and outs, follow the Daily Orders, grow strong and be ready to fight for the eUK as needed.
Problem is, the game isn't attracting a bunch of new players, some of the older, stronger ones are quitting and most of those who sign up don't stay active more than a few days. I am delighted to see a newer player asking questions and challenging us, it keeps us on our toes and gives us the opportunity to help that new player learn more.
Work Tax is applied each time you "Work", "Work Overtime" or "Work as Manager"
VAT is applied each time a transaction is made; e.g. 5% of the price paid goes to the Government for each unit of food, 3% for each unit of weapons etc.
Import Tax is added on top of VAT for Non-Domestic suppliers
All or Nothing seems to be the preferred Import Tax policy of Congress - 1% means cheaper goods for UK citizens and 99% would mean a protected Market for UK Suppliers however most likely increased prices and good shortages for some items on UK Markets for UK citizens.

My thoughts post Resource Wars; Unfortunately until we get the lay of the new world it's difficult to be too proactive as we don't know what tax rate will be appealing to those placing companies as we don't yet know what bonuses the UK or our neigbours have, the consequences of pollution.
In addition, "You will be able to work as manager in a Company only if you are located in the Region where the Company is established. If the Company is in a Region (historical or under occupation) of a country that has an open War with your Citizenship Country, your productivity as manager will drop. The Work Tax percentage for WAM (Work as Manager) will be the one of the Country where the Company is located. The tax income will be split unevenly between the Country where the Company is located and the the Country of Citizenship of the manager."

How in Hades does one choose where to place a company? Don't recall ever seeing that option when I handed over the gold.
It is a forthcoming option once these Resource Wars are over. Limited details have been released so far however hopefully the admins will enlighten us soon.

because Ireland have been our best allies since long before you were eborn. And if we were to NE them we lose a lot of MPPs that we would have to re propose.
