eRepublik Players - Thank You!
A thank you to the community...
More than 2 months ago, we launched the eRepublik stock exchange. The response has been phenomenal. We would like to thank you - the eRepublik community, for supporting our vision and helping to make the greatest eRepublik project ever undertaken a huge success! With more than 9000 registered players participating and over 100,000 Gold flowing in and out of our systems, this project can be considered nothing short of that.
We would also like to thank the people who have chosen to support the site financially by donating. Funds will be used to cover server costs and encourage further development across the site. In addition to their upgraded ERX status, these people will be the first to receive notifications of new eRepublik.ws projects, beta invitations and other surprises as a token of our appreciation.
More than 50 updates/upgrades have been made to ERX since launch, incorporating much of the tremendous user feedback we have received. Yet there is more to come, including investor profiles to see what other users are investing in and upgrades to the portfolio page, among other things.
On another note...
Previous news articles indicated that eLottery would be returning, however we have decided to delay this until the official eRepublik.com API is released (if that ever happens). ERX takes a full time staff to process donations manually, even though the eRep API already supports instant-donations/withdrawals - this feature however has been disabled, for no reason, since January 2009 (!!). In fact the entire API project has been dead in the water for more than 10 months.
The eRepublik team's support of our (and other developers') projects has been incredibly lackluster, offering no help of any kind, congratulations or even just a simple acknowledgement of our efforts - it reflects their indifferent attitude towards all efforts to make their stagnant game more complex and more fun, and quite frankly, we are not impressed in the least. The only thing that has kept us going over these years is the eRepublik community itself.
Lastly, the iPhone application, as you may remember, will be delayed until the new eRepublik modules are released (again, if that ever happens).

I still havent received one gold that someone in ERX team stole from me. What's worse - system ticket that existed, which shows "85 gold withdrawal" was deleted/removed, and my donations list clearly shows that 84 gold was payed out to me from ERX terminal!

I thouht I made money on teh ERX because I saw teh value of my investments rise... but then I realised that I couldn't actually sell any of it for that price... so really it's worth a whole lot less.
So I've lost about 100 gold on the ERX - even though the value of my investments looks like I've made a profit. Why is this? This is bcause ERX does NOTHING to snaction people who list their companies on ERX - take all the gold and then sit with it - I mean there's no compulsion to deliver any value. ERX cannot force the companies to pay back shareholder value. ERX cannot force a company to liquidate its assets and pay share holders - so what have we actually bought? Nothing. We bought thin unguaranteed air. It's WIN-WIN for the company owner - they have no compulsion to pay back, so they just pocket the cash.
Really I guess I was a fool for trusting the ERX people. They said 'backed up by the US treasury' - but what does that mean? they're not liable for anything...
down with erx, i am still waiting for my gold that i deposited 2 weeks ago, this is corrupt!

A great summary of eRepublik. I applaud your efforts in trying to keep this project working. Hopefully the future will be brighter, but we've been hoping that for a long time already.
No vote since I'm waiting for my money withdrawal for about 8 days already. Also, the ticket system seems not to work (or at least I got no response).
At first I was enthusiastic about ERX, but the service time makes me sick.
I donated 14 gold more than 2 weeks ago to the ERX Terminal ingame, and I haven't received the money on my ERX account... where the fuck is my money?!?! Jesus, it said it would take less than 24 hours... well, I hope it takes less than 24 days!

How many of you people have actually sold a stock in ERX? I mean I try to sell my shares but the time always expires and nobody ever buys my stocks.
Even though it shows that the value has increased, you cant get rid of the stock and get the profit out. The only actual profit is when you get little dividends from some companies but come on, you will just lose money trough ERX.
I have made a big mistake and now I have lost like 20 gold. My stocks value is like 300 gold, but selling stocks in ERX is impossible.

Org that I've bought shares IS very profitable and thanks to the owner of that org I receive some profit from shares.
So, Where is the problem?
Problem is that those shares are being worthless since no one want to buy them!
If I want to sell them, I can do that for 50% less than the price that I payed when invested in.

You can make a connection between ERX profiles and Lottery.
People could buy tickets by their ERX gold account. So you wont need to make again "system inputs"

OMG people, you all cry for losing gold..
I mean WTF??? If you don't know WHERE and HOW to invest then DON'T do it! I have made a profit over 10 Gold and I have shares that give me 2-3 Gold/Week...
+ You CAN sell shares and WITH PROFIT, but you DON'T know HOW..! It's pretty simple, you buy stock at a LOW price, BUT you must predict that the company will raise it's shares in x days.. Then you sell the shares you buy for around 5% more of the value you bought them... That was it! You have now 5% profit!
If you don't know Where and How to invest, then ERX can do nothing! This is your fault, not ERX's! And ofcourse there will be a delay in the transaction, I mean Withdraw-Deposit! One person can't do everything! See the FAQ and then start crying..
