Donkeys, Squirtles and Trekker. Oh my!

Well it is 3am and I am just getting home. I would like to have more time to write this up, but delaying it any longer is not viable. The past few days have been slow yet busy. There are many things that need to be done and a finite amount of time in which to do them. I have a feeling if I put this off until I get up in the morning that the articulation, I may or may not have tonight, will not be the voice from which I wish to write this.

I am publicly announcing my candidacy for the Fed Party Presidency.

As many of you already know, I have been the Fed Media Dude (I say “Dude” because I am cool like that) since around Thanksgiving. In the past 11 or so weeks I have come to understand the Media module well enough to function as Media Director. I have also spent the past few months in mission to learn about the workings of the Political Module of eRep, specifically at the party level. Being Media Director has helped me on this as I have had to read many articles on a regular basis to fill out the paper with the current news.

Beyond that, I have worked with everyone in leadership over the past couple months and have developed a basic understanding of what they need. More importantly I believe I have developed a report with the current hierarchy. We function well as a group and the party is on the upswing.

This has stemmed directly from the considerable efforts of the last couple Party Presidents. Most recently and obviously being current PP Tyler Bubblar. I believe in this mission. For my part I hope to continue this mission to the best of my abilities.

I plan to do this through increasing communication and continuing to engage people. I am the Media Dude after all. Media is where I think I can bring in the most support. I also hope to bring more people into more roles to cultivate the future. We have a substantial party base to work from; with any luck (and hard work) we can widen that base. There is a lot great and hard work being done by the staff. The Department of Fun is always hard at work trying to engage the party, as is the Recruitment and Retention Department. Fedex gets the words out when we need it. These are the tools that we will use to make this party better.

The core leadership group we have in place right now is solid. We know our departments and work well together. If I were to be elected PP I would ask the current staff to stay in place. I cannot confirm that my cabinet would be the same as the current administration, as I have not spoken to each personally. But I will speak to them.

Well it is now approaching 3:30 am and I need to go do family stuff in about four hours, so I am going to bed.
