It is not so much the fact of raising taxes that concerns those of us that are paying attention. Most of us would agree to replenish the money that our CP wasted on this battle, and that is a whole other discussion about the inadequacy of our current nations administration.

I have in the past asked Congress for those figures and was told they were "confidential", this is the first time those numbers seem to have been revealed even in private Congress....

Stone, the SCI spending and reserve numbers are both regularly shared with congress. It amazes me that, unless it's force-fed down everyone's throat, apparently, it must be the case that nothing happens. Just because you couldn't be bothered to look doesn't mean numbers weren't released.

Been a while since I've been in US Congress, but most places in this game, the Pres/Executive are doing the decision making anyways, Congress is just a role playing figurehead.

In a pragmatic sense, this is a game and sometimes you can't waste time on the niceties of debate, motion passing, etc. They needed to stop the AS or risk getting wiped, so it worked and crisis averted. They would have had to deal with a lot more if the battle was lost and they had to spend more, plus answer questions about why they messed up. Money can always be replaced or taxes lowered, but being in an occupied country will kill noobs in a game that's already not retaining much.

To be honest they would never have had to answer questions about why they messed up. I have never seen Congress have to answer for what they have done.

I voted for it, and I would do it again in a heart beat. I am for national security, and will not to make it into a petty political issue to get more votes in the next congressional election.

If this is really how you feel though, you should advocate for everyone currently in congress to be thrown out, as not one person in the thread ever mentioned bringing it to a public discussion (Black Sheep, and SFP included).

If I read things correctly you believe that if we spent less on this one battle that we would have saved money overall, this is NOT true. If we had spent less, we would likely have lost the battle. Then we would have had tons more battles we had to spend CO on that would likely have lasted alot longer. Sure each battle would been less then just battle, but when you added them up the total cost would be alot more.

Also on that note, a leading Black Sheep party member came to me before the battle started all worried about future attacks on the US including attacks by Argentina after they "wiped" Mexico. It was strongly suggested to me that we kill the Air Strike by this well known Black Sheep member. However now that cost is known Black Sheep decides that they don't want to pay it after things are all done.
