Clum21 For Congress

Day 2,859, 03:08 Published in Australia Australia by Clum21

Rather than do uni work, I thought it would be more productive to write an article convincing you, the people of eAustralia, that I, a complete and utter noob, deserve to not only run for congress but to win your vote! So here's my campaign platform:

Foreign Policy

Current policy been has provably effective in allowing us to maintain our sovereignty, we've got a good base of allies and we should continue to improve the relations we have with our current allies.
eIndonesia represents an ally we have just yet to make. Our two nations could prosper side by side, and I'm certain that we're closer than we have ever been before to reaching a resolution to a conflict that has divided our two nations for far too long.

Economy

Taxation is a hard subject for everyone, and there are good points to both low and high taxation. In times of war, as our Prime Minister/Benevolent Dictator Rusty D has shown, increased taxation can be a necessary part of ensuring our survival against the threats posed by other nations.
As for further taxation change, there is a discussion that I believe needs to be had and I would love to get involved in that discussion as a senator. It is my belief that the natural government position should be lower taxation to allow for the kind of economic growth that eAustralia needs, but there are certainly circumstances in which this view must be altered.

Defence

Rusty D announced on day 1857 the 'eAustralian Tank Bank'. These kinds of programs represent a really good step forward in making our nation strong, and exactly the kinds of program that I would look to support as a senator. If we are to compete on a world stage, and defend our boarders from the threats of more powerful nations, we can only rely on our allies to an extent. Eventually we must try to pick up the slack and get out new players stronger faster.

I think eAustralia can be great, and I think we're on the way to making that a reality. I'd love to be a part of that process, and I hope you'll do me the honor of voting for me in the congress elections for September. Thanks for reading.
