Between presidential elections, Pyrrhus and Jack Kerouak
gbr_blue
So, we have a president. Not quite a new one, not quite the one I wanted.
So what? I did not wanted Xichael either, but he was one of the best leader I have seen lately. Discreet, efficient and not contentious. He is not even on my friends list, but it was an honor to fight near him.
DMV3 (strange, he is in my friend list!?) will have a tough terms of office. We were successful on our last battle against eGermany, but hey, remember a 2300 years old guy, named Pyrrhus?
So, Mr. President, as an old rusty dinosaur, what I want from you?
What is to be done, for another fun month?
*************JUST GIVE US FRESH BLOOD!****************
And on our way to something better (hey, Dill, Metallica rulz!), please always remember:
We have the will, we have the force, we have our allies!
But, Mr. President, we will have the money?! This is your task now!

We'll have to see what he does.

Xichael delivered. Some of the best military action by eCanada ever, relative to our diminished times anyways.
Ever's a long time. I'll grant you "in a long time."
Did both of you sleep through Albania.
You f*cks have short memories.
It didn't really serve any purpose though. Liberating the Netherlands, especially considering the RL history we have was awesome. I am a little biased though given my family roots.
Meh albania served its purpose four months later and an enemy still isn't back on the map.
I've got to agree with Canuck on this one. Other than revenge I didn't see much of a point in the Albania AS. And it was over way to soon at just three battles.
Money ran out so we couldn't fight off Cyprus. Albania literally went all in because they didn't want to go back to Serbia.
Italy was only 3 battles and didn't cost anywhere near the same price as they had a homeland to fall back on.
Yes Metallica rules!!! You have to Ride the Lightning to Kill 'Em All so we can hear For Whom The Bell Tolls And give Justice for All.
Nice article o7 🙂
Ps: Pyrrhus made his mistake by attacking Sparta (AU AU AU AU) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIr8u0j08gU

The pleasure was mine o7
You had me at Kerouak.
Metallica revived my faith in loud rock and roll that was musical and had purpose. So much metal/hard core rock is just noise to me. However I love the classics.

If he doesn't mind me critiquing in public, Xichael got off to a slow start.
First time I was CP was in Switzerland. I had an idea of what I wanted to do and got right to it. Ice Killah and I went to work on an agreement between Slovenia and the Swiss. Didn't work out but not for the lack of trying. However I wasn't prepared for the onslaught of other items vying for my attention. I had good people working for me and they got their tasks done for the most part but there is an unbelievable amount of pressure for the CP to pay attention and do something. Constant PMs that the sender believes is the most important. Public constantly being needy for information and direction. Unless you've ever been CP you simply have no idea. You can here people talk about it but that is only talk.
The main thing that got me through my first term also worked for Xichael. GOOD PEOPLE. With out good supporting players most who try CP would fall on their faces. One person would have their hands full doing it all. Plus the temptation to 'do it yourself' is always there. Xichael did a good job letting people do their jobs. That doesn't mean you don't stay on top of things and push to get stuff done. He could have been a little more persuasive and kicked some more butts.
Communication with the public keeps down bitching. Nothing worse than a CP that is silent. People come out of the woodwork to poke holes in your plan and to derail your efforts. (Which helps prove their point when the commotion they incite hampers progress.) Public opinion is like a beach ball at a concert. Keep it moving, keep it fun, get people involved, that way people enjoy the beach ball. Let some jerk who paid to sit in the grass but lingers in the front isle (avoiding security) get hold of the ball and
they will pop it for sure. They are just that way. lol
The worst thing Xichael did was to be cautious. He made absolutely sure that he made the right move at the right time and that everyone was on board. That is the best way to make sure that your plan goes smoothly but it also takes so long that people loose interest. Hence the complaints that he did nothing for 3 weeks. Trust me, he was doing plenty. There was no complacency. Things were moving along quickly. The problem was that he redirected plans to anticipate problems, sought collaboration with all parties involved and then sought counsel. These are wonderful things IF YOU HAVE THE TIME. Sometimes you go with your gut and do things on the fly. You have to juggle people and plans. Just the one thing you never compromise the core mission, which in this case was to go to war.
If Xichael decides to try again, I'll be happy to give him my support. He will take his first term and build on it. That will be when he will take what he's learned and make use of it.
