A brief update from the Prime Minister

Day 2,627, 04:35 Published in Australia Australia by Aus Prime Minister Office

Hello to my fellow Australians.

Firstly I want to say 'Sorry' for the lack of articles from the PM's office. I have been online here in eRepublik, but my time has been dedicated to replying to about 15 messages every time I log in, to sorting out Resource Wars, updating the DoD articles and also RL (yep it kinda sucks we have to work in RL).

But I will give a brief run down on what has been happening and also what will be happening in the coming days.

CP Elections:

Our countries CP elections are coming up soon, so I ask all who are interested, please put forward your policy paper, so the public can read it and see what your plans are. And for those who are interested in running, contact your Party Presidents and speak to them about getting their backing for your run.

So far we have 3 candidates with there names in the hat:
Ze Kraus Australian Revolutionary Party
Mark Brennan National Alliance - Pro Patria
Rusty D Australian Democratic Party

But there is still more time to have your name added to the list.

Resource Wars:

These are still on going. There have been a few hiccups along the way and we wont know the full result of the token and resource hand outs until the end of the wars.

But on one positive note, your government has been in communication during these battles with other countries (some are old friends and some have in the past been hostile). But with these general chats, we have begun to have a better understanding of each other and I hope that it can be carried on well into the future.

Future Events:

Politically:
a) Upcoming CP elections (currently on going as detailed above).
b) New congress has been very active. While on the outside it might not seem so, internally it has. But once the resource wars have settled down, you will be seeing a lot more activity.

Militarily:
a) This is dominated by the resource wars. We currently are fighting in Australia with South Africa and also in Latvia. These are planned battles, sometime the timing is off, but we are all working towards a common goal. Even South Africa (putting up money for the RW in Western Australia) and Latvia (helping fund the AS and putting up CO's) are pushing for a mutually beneficial outcome for all countries involved.

International:
a) With the resource wars, we have opened up much closer communications with many other nations. I hope that after the wars, we will be able to build on this and find a lasting peace for Australia to help us grow strong.

Financial:
a) In the next couple of days, I will be putting funds into the Australian bank. When I was elected, I promise to finance my schemes, so now as my term draws to a close, I will be paying for it all. I hope these funds will allow a continuation of the many programs being discussed at the moment.
b) The resource wars will hopefully open up some region renting. But until the war is over, we can only plan for an optimum outcome.

Education and Entertainment:
a) I have asked JT and Pr3zzyy to focus on the Resource Wars for a couple of days, so if you are wondering what has happened here... it is my fault. They will still be doing the food drops and weapon drops.
b) And a big CHEERS to all who took part, donated, organised, shouted, voted for the Australia Day give away.

Remember as always, I have an open door policy, so please feel free to message me or comment and I will answer your questions.

Rusty D,
Proudly serving Australia.
