[WTP] in Congress

Day 2,345, 12:58 Published in USA USA by The Mike

Hi folks,

today we talk politiks. Boring stuff, feel free to vote the article and skip the text. And don't forget to comment some random stuff!

Each month WTP holds Primaries, which decide for the Party President how he or she shall order the list of congress candidates on the WTP ballot. As usual, I will be on the ballot too. And this article is meant to present to you reasons why you should vote for me on the Primaries.

I'd like to say some things about the Primaries for our newer friends co-players. The "Primaries" is a voting that takes place off the erepublik website. It originates from times when our country was under severe PTO* attack. We couldn't allow ourselves to have competition between ourselves, because otherwise our enemy would have won the elections. And this would have killed our country.
Who is allowed to vote in Primaries? Manually selected membership base. If you aren't eligible to vote, PM the Party President, dmjohnston.
You can vote for three people, giving them respectively three, two and one points. Candidates are ranked based on the total points they've received. More points mean higher up the ballot 😛

*PTO stands for Political Take Over. In this case there were hundreds of Serbian players in the eUSA who were trying to take control of the executive and legislative branches. At their strongest moment, they had acquired one third of congress. Nowadays, we've managed to secure the top5 with 5 trustworthy parties (Feds, USWP, AMP, LAP & WTP), thus not allowing them to enter congress anymore!

Unfortunately, last month WTP wasn't able to run its regular Primaries 🙁 It was because of our own Party President going rogue. Because we were no longer sure, if he will fulfil his threat to run Serbs for congress, or not, we took the more secure step and made sure WTP wasn't among the top5 parties when it counted. Instead, the official eUS sixth party, The Black Sheep Party, was promoted to the #5 spot. After a conversation with our Party Cabinet, I also resigned from WTP and joined TBSP and its congressional ballot as well. Because we were only 7 candidates in total, all of us were elected into Congress. After that I returned to WTP, as expected!

So, in this past month WTP had only one congressman to represent us. And it was me. In this past congress I defended one main stand - whatever rules we have agreed upon, they shall not be broken by ourselves. These rules matter only for as long as we follow them and we shouldn't tolerate any occurrences that may undermine our very own rules.

If you have any specific queries regarding congress work, feel free to ask in the comments. I'll be more than willing to add up to the current article!

Thank you for staying with me 🙂
