[WRP] - A view from Parliament - Issue 43

Day 2,464, 21:57 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Huey George

Introduction

This 'A view from Parliament' will once again follow a slightly different format than my regular readers are used to; as well as my own Congressional voting record it includes the voting record of my fellow WRP members of Congress to provide you our constituents an opportunity to review how we've spent my time representing you in Congress.

Other WRP members of Congress votes;

Aleksandar.V Popovic - To be added later
Alan warwickshire - Yes
Arhivator Cvarkov - No
Harijs.me - No
Lazarus Eternal - To be added later

The Work Tax will be changed from 2% to 1%

I voted No. Hot on the heels of the previous work tax law proposal and once again the case to reduce the Work Tax was not strongly enough put forward and the consequences on the Government to afford a minimal stack of our MPPs with a normal range of average wages from the past 30 days was not mitigated.

Work Tax
The Work Tax will be changed from 2% to 1%

I voted Yes. As a result of the unusual and extremely high average wages over the past 30 days resulting in unreasonably high work tax. I supported the suggestion to cut the work tax to 1% as a temporary relief measure and following a drop in average salary I will then support any alternative means to raise revenue as the situation settles including raising the Work Tax rate to 2% once again.

Other WRP members of Congress votes;

Aleksandar.V Popovic - To be added later
Alan warwickshire - Yes
Arhivator Cvarkov - Yes

VAT & Import Taxes: Food
VAT to remain unchanged at 1%
Import Tax increased to 8% from 1%

I voted Yes. It seems reasonable to raise the Import Tax on food from 1% to 8%. In my opinion it's difficult to say the level of impact this will have however it should offer domestic food producers increased protection while our domestic food market sales are slow by deterring foreign food sellers.

Other WRP members of Congress votes;

Aleksandar.V Popovic - To be added later
Alan warwickshire - Yes
Arhivator Cvarkov - Yes
Harijs.me - Yes
Lazarus Eternal - To be added later

Closing thoughts

Once again I encourage respect in public dialogue to set a positive example that elevates the quality of politics in our country. This should enable a more intelligent dialogue on public issues to attract all citizens to take part. So I ask you to bear this in mind with your own contributions.

I also call for all Members of Congress to please consider being communicative via the media module, something I feel is important to increasing the population of the eUK. As an active media creates a well informed, content public, which works together with government strategies domestic or foreign and increases the citizenry's trust in their government.

A final reminder to all constituents, you can also get food from the NHS if you are below level 30 (and fighting for a main stream UK mu etc.) by clicking this link below;
