[Wild Owl] It is time

The past couple of days have been rather eventful for us in eUSA. From old citizens returning home to former presidents declaring their intent to run for the highest office in the land and then withdrawing, we’ve basically seen it all.

Artela has been one of those individuals who I met when I was a newbie in a sixth party, during her first presidential run and her devotion, love and affection to this country and its community has always inspired me and was a huge factor in me joining the United States Workers Party. As an active, committed citizen who has participated in the past few administrations and held several cabinet slots, I would like to candidate for the post of the President of the United States.



The following points constitute my platform on which Im contesting the elections:

Regarding Foreign Affairs, we have a NAP with TWO for the next two months. This is an excellent time for us to increase our leverage politically in CoT by contributing significantly to the campaigns of our allies and friends. We also need to continue to reach out to former members of TWO that have not officially joined our enemy alliance and improve relations with them. Militarily, I’m not in favor of “training wars” that do little but garner us True Patriot medal damage to brag about on our profiles. That damage can be better spent elsewhere.

With peace on the international front, this will be an excellent time for us to focus domestically on our community. Education and Interior, which are generally ignored by most PotUS candidates, will be key institutions in my administration. The education department needs to be more than reprinting an article every three days or so. Interior needs to be more than supplying players with food and in some cases, gold, every week or so. We need these departments to be active, reach out and attract all new citizens in eUSA and encourage them to be part of our community. Quizzes, games, trivia and competitions should be held for newer players. It is about time that we became more inclusive as a country and started promoting our younger players seriously, for the future.

Communication is going to be another key focus of our administration. Some of our best presidents have been unable to keep the public aware of their going-ons as leader. I touched on this in my last point too, but more inclusion and communication is key to a strong America. Whether it is new players joining eRepublik or old ones who feel slighted by the system, we need communication at all levels coming from the Executive. Both the Legislature and the populace need to be aware of our goals and aspirations as a country.

As a country, eUSA has traditionally been a fairly dramatic place, with rivalry between different factions and groups often overriding the need for unity as a country in the past. Peace on the international front gives us the time to discuss and decide what we need to achieve as a country. There have been times when I as an individual have been fairly partisan, and I won’t ever deny that but with most of the older leaders of this country slowly fading into the background, we as current and future leaders can work together to promote a more cooperative nation. If we can take pride in our country and all its various legitimate parties and military units as a nation, we will be a much stronger nation for it.



I realise that this article may seem hastily drawn together, and it is. In the coming days, I intend to write three more articles detailing my plan as a prospective President of the United States. This is the first time we have truly had an exciting race for the past many months. Lets keep it open and clean.
