Week of Heroes

This morning, I logged into Erepublik for the day and slowly went through my daily checklist. I checked my mail, shot a couple messages off to some friends, and talked with Tyler about some upcoming WHPR ideas. I had heard some rumors about some kind of tournament coming up, but I wasn’t sure when and what it would be about. Then I see this:

I swear, every time I see this my first thought is either:
Did Plato change something with the dictatorship module? I swear if he did….
OR
What did Plato do this time………something dumb probably

Either way, nothing good ever seems to come of this. I guess you can say I was pleasantly surprised to see this table:


My mind immediately starting racing and calculating all the gold I could earn. I’m a fairly average D1 Fighter (11k strength, National Force rank), so I typically can get 2nd or 3rd place in a battle on 15 ff.

I eagerly click on my first battle, ready to blow a hole in my daily XP limit and start blasting away some enemies.

Ah, but I should’ve guessed. All the strong D1 fighters came out to play today. Alas, the moral of the story goes, Plato once again created a fun gold earning module that fails to include our youngest players. I’ll never expect anything good from Plato ever again. This is the last time I get my hopes up! I swear this to you.



GETTING TO KNOW YOUR CABINET II: The Blande Interview

Hello, I'm Jude Connors, Contributing Writer for the White House Press Report. I was able to interview the long-time Secretary of Education, Blande, recently. Here's a second installment in Getting to Know Your Cabinet.

Jude: Hello Blande. You're the Secretary of Education. Mind if I ask you some questions for the WHPR?

Blande: I'll be glad to answer your questions.

J: So you've been Secretary of Education for awhile now, right? Can you tell me what the job entails?

B: I've been Secretary of Education since late December 2014, so yeah it's been awhile. The job of Secretary of Education is a busy one. It requires a high level of time commitment. Most importantly though, it requires choosing and having the right team around you.

B: The SoE is in charge of educating the public on everything erepublik. Currently this entails publishing guides, running the QotD Program, and also the American University. A lot of bodies are needed to make sure this all runs smoothly, and it's on the Secretary to make sure the right staff are there and working efficiently.

J: Can you tell us just a bit more about these programs and what they do?

B: The Guides Program publishes educational guides about everything erepublik. Over the years, the DoE has covered almost every area of the general gameplay, so now the department focuses on publishing guides that are more structured to things eUSA, like the meta game, while updating older guides. The program is important as a quick answer to questions players might have on how certain aspects of the game work. Think of it as a huge FAQ database.

B: QotD Program: This is a more direct educational program for citizens of the eUSA. It provides a daily 50 q5 food reward for correctly answering the question posed for the day. THe goal of this program is to increase the knowledge of eUSA citizens on historical incidents and also general game information.

B: American University: The AU is the flagship DoE program that directly aims to educate new players. The University provides mentors for new citizens to guide them through their first few days of the game, and provide them with a solid foundation on which to succeed in the eWorld.

War Update

At this time of this publication, the 3-hour waiting period has begun to start the congressional-sanctioned military coup that will reinstall the protective dictatorship for the eUS. The coup was officially started by the USAF, as sanctioned by Congress, but all loyal MUs are encouraged to support the military coup. At the time of publication, EZC and SHIELD had already signed on support in game for the coup. All loyal citizens should DEAL DAMAGE for the DICTATORSHIP.


In addition, keep hammering away at those TP Medals in eIndonesia. All soldiers are cleared for combat in the Indonesian islands. It is highly encouraged to keep dealing damage for the eUS in any RWs.
