[USA] Order, Respect and Security!

Hello fellow Americans,
I usually don’t write an article unless I have some sort of reason or material to write about, I guess today is not an exception but we will have probably a way shorter (or not) edition of the Drunk Donkey than usually. Today we will be talking about respect between players regardless their power level, announcing a new security guide and an announcement of the next edition which will focus on the Potus candidates I interviewed.
So, let’s get started!

Respect (Dictionary Definition)

I know the definition is clear and very simple on the dictionary but apparently for some percentage of our population it might not be that clear. I know people joke around, tease and all that, specially on IRC but in certain cases people like to push things to the limit and that’s where misunderstandings can happen, I’ve been always a fan of “if you feel insulted with something, just tell the person insulting you how you feel” because communication is the best way to solve problems, the thing is: sometimes people are not reasonable when we tell them. Well... how can we solve something like that? Simple, just ignore the person and be strictly professional to him/her. I know it’s not easy but it’s for the best most of times.
Some people might, sometimes think just because they hold some power they can do whatever they want, but I think what is written on this picture is very clear on how people forget their true power:
Yes, that’s right, if you or someone starts disrespecting a lot of people, what happens on that picture might happen.
To the new players, have in mind that you’ll only conquer the game if you conquer the people. With this I mean: Be honest and respectful to everyone, be nice and be the way you want people to treat you and in the end, you’ll find out the game and the people can be way nicer and better than you could have imagined. Of course some might disappoint you because like real life, there’s a great diversity of people around here, but still.. Respect!

PS: If I disrespected you in any matter, please inform me through a private message and I’ll apologise. Obviously this doesn’t include AFA because all I can them is PTOer (which is what they are) and I keep saying I want to cut someone into pieces as a joke.

Immigration Enforcement Service
Well, as far as you guys heard, I’m compiling a list of IES violations of this month and I should hand it to the congress in the next days, I should have the list prepared before the end of the congressional term. On the other hand, I’ve been writing an anti-impersonation on IRC guide with commands to protect your nicks, I intend to hand that guide to the White House Press Room, the Government, The congress and the general population. I strongly advise everyone to protect their nicknames because your nick can be used by AFA and other PTO organizations to worm out information from us. So yeah, security above everything else!
Exclusive: Potus candidate Interviews
I take the opportunity to close this newspaper edition by announcing that in the next edition we will a series of interviews about our Potus candidates. With a semi-fun/semi-serious environment we will know a bit how our candidates are campaigning, their goals and their ideals for the next presidential term.
The interviewed candidates will be John_Killah, John_Jay and Inwegen.

Respect in leadership is very very important I know. How ever that does not mean you can't have fun but make sure people know the difference and also the fun should not hurt people otherwise its not fun at all.

Very good article!
I try to remember every single day that the people online that I'm gaming with are just that...people...like me. They are not simply avatars, robots, votes, cattle or servants. Just people logging on looking for a little release from their stresses. They smile and bleed just like me.
Take a few seconds to just simply acknowledge someone. It means something to them.
Don't get me wrong. There are people online, just like in real life, that get a sick,twisted joy in hurting people and abusing them. Once it is clear that said people have no interest whatsoever in anything other than themselves, it's open season.
How very true Bia.. Life in History has always been fighting against those kind of people, Good vs. Evil.
Life is more Good vs. Evil then people realize... it looks like we have a lot of gray now days... which is kinda true, but we still have good people and bad people.

Why would anyone want to impersonate me? Besides, I do any important communication in a PM in game. So if someone says something weird on IRC that says they are thedillpickl don't believe it!

If I'm writting the guide it is because I have more than reasons to do so. You might not be the best target to be impersonated but other people might be and security breaches cannot be tolerated and need to be corrected. The more information people have, the better to their own defense. Don't think on the measures just on your own point of view, think big... think about the whole country and perhaps you'll see the sense in it. (:
Well, I suppose you are correct my friend. There is a lot of business conducted on IRC. It has never been my friend. I can't follow the speed of the conversation and quickly get frustrated. Also the same reason of people impersonating the other.
I would still caution on extremely important stuff to at least double check by posting an in game PM. Those are hard to fake.
