[Trekker 4CP] The Evolution of a Chameleon

Day 2,692, 20:04 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar
Trekker tried to hide but we found him!

One thing I've noticed during my time in eRepublik is how dramatically things can change. Alliances and rivalries rise and fall from the International level all the way to the individual. Friends can become enemies and vice versa. Insiders can become outsiders. On occasion outsiders come out of the solitude and join a cause or group. Trekker is one such individual. I remember him from the earliest days of my own return. He'd occasionally shout to express his thoughts on materials prices, taxes, or some other issue that was on his mind. However we never saw him on any type of off-site venue. He was polite, but remained aloof.

Trekker when he was first invited into the meta

Then one day Melissa Rose told me she'd gotten a less than warm reply from someone named Trekker in response to a FedEx she'd sent out to the Party. She decided she liked him, and made it her mission to befriend him. Gradually he came to take on more jobs for the Party. Getting him to agree to go to Congress was no easy task! Today he's been Party President 3 times for the Feds a number matched by very few. He's held jobs at the National level as well. He's cut his teeth working with the NSC, a post I've never held, and due to the frequency of late nights and early mornings not one I'd ever want to. I've seen him grow into a Leader at the MU, Party, and National level. He's a man of principle and integrity. He's risen to the challenge whatever the occasion. It was my great honor to interview him in the run up to election day. Without further ado.

[21:32] Tyler_B:I'm joined by the Fed nominee for President in April. Trekker thank you for being here.

[21:32] Trekker: Thank you for having me Tyler, it is a pleasure to be here

[21:32] Tyler_B: we'll start off with some softball questions
[21:33] Tyler_B: how's the campaign been so far?

[21:34] Trekker😛For the most part it has not been so bad. There were some hurdles to jump, and certainly not everything worked out the way I had it planned. Overall though I cannot complain. And I have enjoyed it more than I planned.

[21:35] Tyler_B: You've widely been considered the frontrunner of this race. Has that changed your approach to this election at all?

[21:38] Trekker: Not really. I planned to answer as many questions as possible and try to gain as broad a base as possible. And I have done that. I had intended to put out a couple more articles about my personal history, but my recent chest cold hampered that more than any allusion that I am the front runner. The election is not over until after the last vote is
[21:38] Trekker: cast after all

[21:41] Tyler_B: I've known you a long time now, long before you were political. How surprised are you to be where you are now?

[21:44] Trekker: Incredibly surprised. I had no clue that my first step into activity would ever lead to this. My first two jobs (Captain in EZC, and Media Director in Fed) I had to be offered several times before I agreed. To say I was reluctant would be an understatement. And here I am almost 18 months later and running for PotUS. Crazy world...

[21:45] Tyler_B: When we build Mount FedMore where would you like to be on it and why?

[21:49] Trekker: Put me where Roosevelt is, for he and I both share ideas on politics and a love for tattoos

[21:51] Tyler_B: Now a bit more substance. Tell us about your plans for the next month? What does a Trekker presidency have in store for us?

[21:58] Trekker: Hah. Alright, let us begin. The boring bit is that I want to keep us on the right path. Yada, yada. But how to balance that and keeping the people interested? Well part of my plan is to fill up a lot of these deputy slots with people willing to work and write. We need to maintain the highest quality of media. Beyond that I would like us to have more battles
[21:58] Trekker: War is always a economic driver and I see no reason not to allow it to drive our economy further. This works as long as we have allied battles or our own battles to fight in. If we cannot find allied battles, it is not outside of the realm of possibility we will make our own battles.

[21:59] Tyler_B: Any plans to spend more money than I did so I can go down in history as only the second biggest spender?

[21:59] Trekker: Only if the fate of the nation depends on it.

[22:00] Tyler_B: midget porn or rectal business?

[22:00] Trekker: As always, I fail to see how they are mutually exclusive

[22:01] Tyler_B😛Anything you want to add before we conclude our interview?

[22:02] Trekker😛Anything you need to know about my history, present, or future can be derived from the following saying: Speak softly, and carry a big stick; you will go far.

[22:03] Tyler_B: I thank you for your time and wish you the very best on the 5th and after.

[22:04] Trekker: Thank you Tyler, I enjoy conversing with you, so any time.

Vote for Trekker

I know that April 5th is Easter Sunday, but I would urge you all to find a few minutes to log in and pull the lever for Trekker. He truly is one of the best people in this game. He's honest, reliable, patient, kind, and able to stand firm when the occasion calls for it. Vote Trekker for CP!
