Dear SFP members and friends,
Tomorrow SFP members will turn out to the polls to elect this month’s Party President/Rev Com Chairman. This is an extremely important election cycle. SFP, for the first time its long history, has reach Top 5 status as a party in the eUS. SFP IS the most active party in the eUS, and has claimed this title for far longer.
Jude Connors has decided to run for Chairman/PP again, and I have decided to run against him this month, if for nothing more than the experience of a running and campaign. Jude has lead us in a way no other Erepublik player could have over the past 4 months. His leadership of SFP is second to none. He would, without doubt, lead us well again this month. And if you feel this way too, I would encourage you to vote for Jude tomorrow.
On the other hand, I represent a younger player, who has held several positions in Party and National politics, but never ascended to a leadership position. SFP, I can’t promise you a perfect month. I can’t promise that I won’t mess things up every once in a while, and I can’t promise that we won’t have some controversy. But, I can promise that I’ll give my all to make SFP a better party and place for Erepublik players. Surrounded with players like Jude, Shiloh, Nick, Kevin, Phil, Jaden, Eddie, Edgar, Wooky and many others, it’s impossible for this not to be a team effort.
If Jude is elected by the membership tomorrow, I will continue to give my all for SFP, and I will work to push my ideas of Retention and Fun into the daily lives of SFP members. It will be a productive month, regardless of whether you cast your vote for Jude or myself.

Cabinet looked good, till I saw jude.
Disappointing that this appears to be a loss, at this point.
I think this would have represented a better direction for SFP; not because Jude is bad, quite the contrary. But I'd have liked to see Jude let go of the wheel, now that he's driven SFP into the Top 5. Tom is the riskier choice, but this seems like the time to take some risks.

I think your response is valid, but I find myself neither agreeing or disagreeing with your point. Jude has been a valuable part of SFP, and has often fought to uphold SFP ideal's even when they have been threatened by outside forces. His hard work has resulted in SFP being placed in the Top 5, and this upcoming month I know his hard work will result in a solid month for SFP.
Given that this is SFP's first month as Top 5 party there could be some significant headaches and problems that Jude would be far better suited to deal with than I. In this sense, Jude makes a far better Party President than I for this month.
I was the riskier choice, but I ultimately concluded that stability was needed for this month.
The coming months will shine much on the direction of SFP.
Don't get me wrong, that wasn't meant to be criticism of Jude.
I'm not sure I agree that stability is what is needed, though. That sounds like the kind of thing USWP or Feds would say; which is what I find disappointing.
Of course, I don't much care for stability in general, so there's that. 😁
