To begin I would like to thank ViKy for her beautifully worded endorsement article. I was touched and humbled by the glowing words she wrote. She really expressed a lot of what I would like to say in this article. The Federalist Party has given me a lot, and it is my hope that I have over the course of my career given back. That is what this run is about to me.

I have been Party President 4 times during my time here. It is not a position that awards even an in game metal, yet it is one of the most important posts in eRepublik. A strong vibrant top 5 makes for a strong vibrant nation. A Party President has a great deal to do with the fortunes of their Party one way or the other. However, no one can run a large Party by themselves. A strong team is needed. As such I would like to introduce you to the team that I have chosen to help the Federalist Party conduct its daily business.

VPP: Paul Proteus will be returning in this role. He has been an invaluable sounding board and source of advice. He was a veteran when I arrived on the scene and has a wealth of experience to draw from when making plans and confronting problems

CoS Operations: Scott Coyle will be shifting over from doing a phenomenal job running the Media Department to helping me monitor the goings ons of the Federalist Party Departments. We have more Feds working than we have had in a long time, and a second set of eyes to ensure everything is running smoothly will be very helpful

CoS Staffing Dave Gulya has been a machine in getting interested Feds working in the Departments once more. It’s an ongoing process but one that I believe is working. If you are interested in the progress we have made in getting Feds to work please check here.

PD Cromstar has revived what had been a problem area with his usual savvy and aplomb. Instead of scrambling until the last minute for viable Congress candidates we had an overabundance of worthy candidates, and were able to announce our list on the 22nd for the first time in a very long time. In addition to this plans are in the works to prep more Feds for higher office.

FedEx My first job in the Feds was as a staffer in the then known as Federalist Outreach Program (FOP) for AlexJ. It is what helped me attract notice and move up. As Party President I have been manning this post as I feel strongly direct outreach from the PP without oversaturation is vitally important while we are in the process of revamping the Party. For now I plan to remain in this post.

Fun Zone Director I created the Fun Zone in our forums during my first term as Party President. It is near and dear to my heart. We have built a fair and judiciously moderated place open to all Fed or no in which they can socialize, play games, and just enjoy themselves. Artela will be stepping in to be the Director.

Retention Almost since the inception of the Fun Zone, the Retention Department has suffered from a lack of attention. Many feel that the two are redundant. I do not see it that way at all. Retention does the dirty work. They do the unseen messaging and guiding of new players and those interested in getting involved for the first time. The Fun Zone can host games, scavenger hunts and many other events but if no one attends it is all for naught. Talio Extremist will be heading up the Retention Department with the intent of driving traffic to our forums and IRC channels.

Recruiting AnkaLeader has headed up the Recruiting Department this last month. With the current state of the game I did not and do not expect miracles. What I asked was for Anka to focus on the process. There are several Feds working in this department. They are friending and messaging new joinees to the game and have been tracking their progress on a gdoc.

Media Jude Connors was a Fed when I arrived here on the scene. I remember his previous time here fondly. After an extended absence he has returned. I admire his tremendous talents when it comes to putting digital pen to digital paper. I am looking forward to seeing him develop and lead a media team for our great Party.

FBI Slybabymichele has headed up a very large reclamation project. She and her team have labored diligently to update our forum user groups in an effort to keep our forum primaries sacrosanct. I am very pleased with the progress they have made.

Treasury ViKy rejoined the Feds when Jefferson Locke was Party President. He brought her in to head up one of his pet projects: the recreation of the Fed treasury. This has worked probably even beyond his wildest expectations. Her careful stewardship of the Fed monies has very much improved the way we conduct day to day business.

SHIELD CO Last but definitely not least. Nick Bergman has been fantastic in this role. As a former CO I know what a big job it is. While SHIELD has kept me in the loop via in game PM, I have taken a hands off tack. Running a large MU is a difficult task and having someone not involved into the day to day interfering makes things just that much harder.

For the last month I have asked the Directors in my Cabinet to focus on the process. Not to worry about results, but instead do things the right way. To put their Staffers and Deputies to work as they are assigned to them. If we do that results will come. Maybe not immediately, but as we string together days of consistent effort the results will inevitably follow. I believe that we are starting to see things turn around. Departments are no longer staffed by one over worked Director, we are developing a pool of viable talent to run Departments. Our forums are coming back to life, and IRC is similarly beginning to show more activity. After months of lackluster elections we now have 4 very strong candidates running for the Party Presidency. Win or lose I see that as a very good sign. However, I am asking for one more month to solidify the gains we are beginning to experience. The game may be in shambles, but that doesn’t mean that the Federalist Party should follow suite.
