[TB] For You and For Me

Day 2,812, 12:51 Published in USA USA by Aeriadne

Tyler said it best in his last article: he and I have not always gotten along. I'll admit, at the beginning of last month I had some trepidation about working with Jefferson Locke on a project that I had never felt anyone bothered much for. The merging of Education and Interior was a long time coming. I'm thankful to say, however, that it wasn't a difficult process. Even on that first day, things with JLo and I were electric.

Every one of our deputies stepped up immediately. In those first five days, JLo and I functionally laid out how the new domestic program for the country could be run. We worked hard, played a little, and kept at it. The momentum kept coming as well. And after 25 days the dream that I set out to accomplish when Trekker assigned me Secretary of the Interior last month was finally achieved.

All the while, Tyler was the perfect leader: encouraging of our progress, kindly questioning when problems arose, engaged but not micromanaging. Present, but allowing us our own mistakes and choices. Guiding, but never overbearing.

I've seen absent Presidents of this country. I've seen dysfunctional ones, too. I can without a doubt say that Tyler Bubblar is neither of those, and I am glad to have witnessed it first hand.

His has been a faith restoring Presidency, proving that there are still players who reach across the aisle and get people of all parties involved. From AMP to SFP, from the Feds to the Sheep, from the Workers to the People, Tyler has incorporated this nation to a task: be active.

And it's workin out swell.

Assembled by Tyler has been one of the all star cabinets of this year, with names like eShades and RaccoonGoon quickly coming to be respected in their various fields. Jaden A as my replacement for Secretary of Citizen Affairs was another excellent choice, as her stewardship of the American University and input on the merger were critical. And in picks like MrCarey and Henry William French and Senryaku, Tyler has shown that he's not about politics when he's putting together a cabinet; he's about whoever gets the job done.

This month has been an incredible time, and by his example of setting aside politics I have been able to as well. I'm glad to say I've made another friend in this game. Even gladder to say that he has decided to keep me on as his Vice President.

I believe in what Tyler's done, because for one of the first times in a great while I've seen the nation engaged in ways it hasn't. That's a precious gift, and something we often take for granted. Rather than set about the work that need's doing himself and hogging all the glory, he catalyzed and organized the people who could do it and gave them the chance to shine. This cabinet he has is full of gold, and I'm certain you'll see some of them in the President's seat themselves in due time.

Tyler doesn't default on promises just to get a gain. He doesn't allow a lack of nomination to determine who gets chairs at the table or not. The man has proven this last month that he wants what we all want in this game: to enjoy it.

Tyler's still got quite the work left to do. Let's help him get it done, as he's helped us be able to see that it could be. Come the fifth, I'm voting Tyler B. For you, and for me.
