[SAGP] PP Wilpanzer & Getting Connected to IRC & the Forums

Day 2,005, 16:23 Published in South Africa Netherlands by lancer450

Hello my fellow SAGP’ers and fellow eSaffers,

I am lancer450, the brand new Spokesman for the South African Gold Party (SAGP). Just a couple days ago, on the 15th of May, our party voted and elected our newest party president, Wilpanzer. I would personally like to congratulate Wilpanzer on his election and wish him and the rest of his party cabinet luck in the upcoming term.

Being the new Spokesman, it is up to me to produce articles on behalf of our party, communicating our ideas and engaging with our party members as well as the rest of the eSouth African community. That means I’ll be at my laptop doing a fair bit of writing over the course of the coming month.

I should be able to handle this. 😉

Some of the plans for the SAGP as laid out in Wilpanzer’s recent article were to (1) increase forum activity, (2) encourage members to become politically active, (3) get maximum possible congress representation, and (4) give Cody Caine a CP run. Hopefully over the next month we will see most, if not all, of these plans come to fruition.

To help begin this process of improving forum activity and overall activity within our party, below I will provide a guide to logging into IRC and the forums and registering on both as well. Let the educating begin!

Please check it out below:

IRC

1. First, go to rizon.net/chat **
2. Then, type the username you want
3. After, type the channel you want to join (#SAGP or #eSouth_Africa)
4. Finally, just press connect

Just leave the “Auth” section blank as you probably haven’t registered on IRC yet. When you enter #SAGP or #eSouth_Africa, it will ask you to register. Enter your e-mail and enter a password for your username as well. Now next time you go to rizon.net/chat again, for Auth you do “Identify to Nickserv,” then enter your password.

**You have another option of going to the eSA Forums here and in the top right hand corner, next to the Facebook icon, there is a eSA IRC Chat link that looks like a yellow emoticon. Click that and it will take you to a similar page. Write a nickname in the nick area (you must select a unique name, or Rizon will choose a temporary name for you) and forget about writing in a password unless you are already registered. Once you click connect, you are on the #eSouth_Africa IRC channel. To register from here, just type /msg nickserv register password email@email.com. This registers your current nick with NickServ with the chosen password. Once registered, type /join #SAGP and you will be put into the #SAGP IRC Channel and be able to chat and communicate with your fellow party members.

eSouth Africa Forums

Just go to http://forums.erepubliksa.com/index.php and register an account using the button that says “Register” in the upper left hand corner. After agreeing to the terms of use and entering in the required information, you should be able to log in. Once you log in, go to the SAGP area. The SAGP has our own sub-forum there which you can find in the “Political Parties” area about half way down. There, you will be able to introduce yourself and discuss with your fellow party members and hang out.

I hope that was able to help some of you out!

I will be releasing some more articles in the near future regarding the upcoming congressional elections and helping players to get involved, so stick around!

Please don’t forget to vote, shout, and comment! 🙂 Also, if you need any help or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to message me. I would be glad to help!

Signed,

SAGP Spokesman
