[SAGP] Congress Elections

Fellow SAGP’ers,

It seems like it was just yesterday that we elected a new CP. And now the congress elections are exactly just one week away from today! Time flies by fast.

On the 25th of May, the country will head to the polls and cast their votes for the party whom they believe best holds the interests of the country at hand. Every SAGP member that is interested in serving their country and party in congress next month should register to run and be sure to adhere to the following: ACTIVITY and TRUSTWORTHINESS.

According to Party President Wilpanzer, he has eliminated the sole responsibility of arranging candidate priorities by tasking Vice Party President Cody Caine and the SAGP Councillor in aiding him in the candidacy prioritisation. The Councillor will concentrate on activity whilst the VPP and Wilpanzer will look at overall legitimacy and trust.

For those who are interested in running for congress, you should be sure to keep in mind that activity is an extremely important factor as illustrated by what Party President Wilpanzer said. The more active and trustworthy a candidate is, they are likely to be placed farther up in the list. For those who may not be aware, the farther down you are on the list means there is much less of a chance that you will be able to win a seat in congress. I must stress that activity is going to be a determining factor as to where you are placed.

What is active?

Someone who is active has to be someone who replies to personal messages, participates, and registers as a congressional candidate either under the forums or the party wall in-game and who have proven themselves to be trusted SAGP members.

How do you run for congress in the SAGP?

Want to officially register as a candidate but don’t know how? It’s pretty easy actually. A wall post will be made by Wilpanzer requesting registration in-game and a similar forum post will be made. Any member can register as a candidate by replying to that wall post or by putting their name on the forum thread. Done. Simple as that. From there, the process or prioritising will take place as I described above and on the 25th we will elect a brand new congress! 🙂

As some of you may or may not know, the SAGP has climbed to reach the rank of the third largest political party in eSouth Africa. This is an awesome time to be a SAGP member! Though who says we need to stop here!? I hold the hope that the SAGP will be able to grow even more and continue to improve. But to do this we need all of those in our ranks to vote and to get involved. Every vote counts. We need all of YOU!
