Ahh well… one has to move on with the times I guess. Plato has destroyed democracy in the eWorld. It had a good run and it (democracy) was fun and purposeful to fight for. But now the writing is on the wall so even for a die-hard crusader like me the fight is over. The new normal is dicKtatorship, and in my opinion dicKtators are the bandits of erepublik. No honest player will support a bandit.

THIS GAME HAS BECOME THE BATTLE OF THE CREDIT CARDS

Every vulnerable eCountry needs to insert it’s own “democratically” chosen Dictator. Having your own Dictator will make it infinitely more difficult for a foreign and hostile MTO (Military Take-Over). The "defensive dictatorship" is the best option.

Use the upcoming Presidential Elections to vote for your choice as dictator. If he/she is a good person, he/she should encourage the congressional elections and support the will of the congress (even though the congress will have no effect on game mechanics). The congress should also be in the Presidential/Dictator's cabinet and should be consulted for purposes of governance. That will revitalize the role of Congress in a world without Democracy.

1. If you are currently under a foreign MTO, start a coup yourselves and get your own dictator. If you are still free (for the time being) just start your coup as soon as possible.

2. Minimize your vulnerability by minimizing your regions.

3. If MTOs want to insert their dictator they must spend 400,000 cc ( 200k to remove yours then 200k to install theirs)

4. When the MTO starts a liberation war you start a war with another country and make sure you get wiped. They can’t take over a country with no regions. 😛

5. The MTOers just lost 200k cc for nothing. (Oh the sweet irony.)

6. Keep up the procedure every time they try a coup

If you have any hope of making this game your own and not the property of Pay-Pal, try these ideas. They will certainly work if you have the resolve.
