First of all some mood music:

A long long time ago
So I was reminiscing a few weeks ago. I was thinking about eRep in the shower - for real. First get those disgusting thoughts out of your head Aramec.

I can still remember
Anyways, I was thinking about eRep and what used to be fun about this game. Do you remember the three pillars campaign? That was fun, really, it was. I guess one of my fondest memory was watching the RW at Hello Kitty way back in the day. Ermerik? He was always fun to watch and read about. After that? Helping whoever on congressional election night when snipping votes was a thing. Yeah - those were some fun times.

how that music used to make me smile. And moss grew fat on our rolling stones. But that's not how it used to be.
But we have lost the ability to have epic battles I guess. We have lost the fun that can happen with congressional elections. I suppose I could write about that, however, there is a far far better writer than I who already has:

http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-how-it-was-back-in-the-good-old-eworld-2468610/1/20
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/how-the-q7-weapon-ruined-this-game-2468033/1/20
BTW this author supports Rainy's worthy opponent DC.

These articles and the truth contained in them is relatively depressing in its own way. All good (and bad) things must come to an end, true. But I thought surely there must be a way of returning to a place where the game itself might be fun.

And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those people dance
Then I read Aramec's article:
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/epic-eus-potus-race-dec-2014-2473244/1/20

I gotta admit that after Gnil's articles, this was an added sense of something lost.

So in my bitterness I replied to Aramec's article:
"What is there to seriously debate?"

But Armec tried for a forward pass:
"Let's make our own shit up. I don't care anymore. We have this weird, golden opportunity to do some crazy stuff. But here we are, sitting nicely in our nest. That could a debate in itself: whether we should really go for anything, or just be complacently accomplished like we have been."

And maybe they'd be happy for a while
That, shockingly, prompted me to log into the game. I happen to have a 3rd party (with three whole people in it). So I nominated myself for CP and tried to take the field. But I rapidly decided that was a dumb idea. I have little if any say in the community at large. So I checked a few more candidates. Oblige was there...naw-not a 'revolution' to say the least. DMJ-well he could win and is awesome...but. Then I saw Rainy Sunday and I thought

And here we are.

Why do you ladies and gentlemen care to read all this drivel -assuming that you have read it?

So bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry And them good old boys were drinkin' whiskey in Rye
Well my good friend Henry Pfeifer favors Rainy's opponent DC. He argues that RS is more of a whim candidate and has not establish her cabinet weeks out or some sort of agenda. These are fair points. But what is missing from the eUSA I ask you dear reader. Is it a competent cabinet? A well formulated agenda? A solid status quo?

Singin' "This'll be the day that I dieThis'll be the day that I die"
You may feel that these things (cabinet/agenda) are the most important things in a browser game. However, I suggest that there is another aspect that you should consider. That is fun It is excitement.

Now do you believe in rock and roll? Can music save your mortal soul?
I offer two screen shots as evidence:

So. . . who is the better choice? A cabinet that has been long planned out or a movement that has players ready to write articles, shout, engage the community, and have fun?

There are valid arguments for both. This month, in this web based game, I will choose Rainy Sunday. Join me on this adventure and lets have fun together in a voice that came from you and me.

Oh, and there we were all in one place
A generation lost in space
With no time left to start again
So come on, Jack be nimble, Jack be quick
Jack Flash sat on a candlestick
'Cause fire is the devil's only friend

Join me in supporting Rainy Sunday!
