Greetings Free Men and Women of eSouth Africa!
Second week of Simian Dominion. My cabinet and advisors are still keeping me in line. Good for me, good for them and above all good for you.
Minstry of Finance
We received the rent from Brazil this week. Sure it is in writing and Brazil will honour the agreement but I still want to thank Crumoet for staying on top of the whole thing. Also, due to an unexpected MPP proposal from the Bulgarian president it looks as if MoF will have to tweak this months budget somewhat.
Ministry of Domestic Affairs
MoDA is busy writing articles as you all have seen.
* The mentorship program is steadily improving
* MoDA continues to message newborns and immigrants to make them part of our community.
Ministry of Defence
Yesterday Minister Tenshibo resigned from his post due to RL reasons. I respect his decision and I thank him for the services provided during his two weeks in office.
Had3z stepped up to the plate. He will announce the new deputy MoD as soon as he's found a suitable candidate.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Oprah brokered a mutual protection pact with Italy. It was pushed through this week after a minor debacle (I accidentally proposed a MPP with Albania instead of Italy, fortunately congress turned it down).
Ministry of Security
MoS got us through the party president elections. Chucker and his team kept an eye on every candidate and although we weren't threatened it felt damn good having them watching over us.
Other than that MoS is doing what it takes to keep us on the map. No questions asked by this administration.

So we aren't occupied? Brazil is renting our land from us? I just started yesterday so I don't really know what's going on but would like to know.
Samuel, yes they are renting, but they gained the land through aggression then a peace deal was brokered where we agreed to let Brazil rent. We are now friends with Brazil, but traditionally we are enemies. Old people like me don't like Brazilians 🙂
They did not gain the regions through aggression as mark refuses to believe.
Originally we attacked them, the rules of the game forced/allowed them to attack back. We then did negotiate some deals to get certain regions back. Since then, we've actually had all our regions back and then returned certain ones in order for rent.
Maybe I am a bit blurry on the details, but I do remember that we had no choice. We either joined the darkside or we got wiped. After the "diplomatic" aggression had run its course, we then sought to improve our relationship with Brazil.
I declared war on Brazil, Grim convinced them not to wipe us in exchange for rent, which we demanded for quite sometime. then Indo arrived and we used those same regions to rent to Indo till Brazil could defend it, something we did not really had a choice in, Indo basically decided for us, this allowed us to not be wiped while Indo was dealt with, once dealt with, Brazil and SA improved relations and agreed on rent for the regions, which we have been receiving.
I am no fan of Brazil, but the most i can think of is to look if the deal is still fair and whether we are receiving rent that is justified. I do suspect the mayority prefer the status quo with eBrazil.
I still have the dream of one day having all our original regions, thats also why i am still in IA, the logo reminds me Table mountain on our logo is still in Brazil hands, and in IA we asserts South Africa's supreme right to own it's original regions if it so wishes. Thats my eDream.
