[NGP] Green Spotlight V Jasper Zuidema

Today it is my honour to do a special edition with one of the most important members the NGP has ever had before he sets sail for Australia. He is a former time 3x Norwegian President and has greatly influenced our little community to this day, of course Im talking about none other than Jasper Zuidema!

Why I came to Norway: When I first started out in eRepublik I was an eDutch citizen, but I grew tired quickly of the mud throwing that was going on there, on top of that there wasn’t really any opportunities at the time for newbies because the elite there really clamped down. My last term in NL I had spent as part of the MoFA team with Joshua Morriseau, after the term had finished he moved over to Norway and had invited me to tag along, I thought it would be a great idea considering I did have some friends in Norway as well and wanted a new start.

My Favourite Film: Hmm I think my favorite film, well I gotta say series would be the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.

My favourite ban😛 This is a hard one since I generally listen to any type of music, I’m not too picky, I like bands like Linkin Park, Switchfoot, Greenday and Blake Eyed Peas, I just avoid Classical really.

My favourite time or moment in Norway: Undoubtedly my first 2 CP terms that I served, I have never topped that experience again since that time. I had served as CP of Norway during the February and March of 2014, at the time the alliance shuffling was happening and I was tasked along side Sweden and Finland to move closer to the Asteria alliance. FYROM had decided that we would be the perfect place to set up home and put an AS on us since they where desperate for congress and any kind of diplomacy with them failed because of there arrogant CP, the result was them declaring war on Sweden and a Natural enemy law on Finland, we had a big struggle for a couple days, I had to get up during the middle of the night to set up coordinated attacks precisely, we as Asgard worked awesome as a team and we had a lot of support from out allies back then. After we finally booted FYROM out we had for a short period of time invaded England as well before turning out attention towards Germark, Norway took the Danish regions while Sweden clamped down on Germany, those where good times, miss it lots.



My favourite thing to do when not on eRepublik: That would probably be going out fishing, I like to take the canoe and head out on the lake during the summer and just have a peaceful quiet day, ice fishing is pretty fun too but I haven’t gotten the chance yet this year. I also been working with a friend on tractors and cars on the side, doing some painting, you see, I’m hoping to eventually get into an apprenticeship in autobody.

Why I chose the NGP: I joined NGP the first night that it was founded along side Joshua, I wanted to be part of an active political party that would allow me to express myself, no doubt that happened when I was elected NGP’s first CP.

What being Green means to me: I’m happy to have been a member of NGP, It has allowed me to obtain the goals that I have wanted to accomplish while feeling like our party is contributing to the good of our country. Not only that but I have built up some very strong friendships, people in this party are genuinely caring and seek to help those new to Norway, that is something that is really awesome.

Any final words to the NGP and to Norway: I want to take the time to thank all those in NGP for having trusted me and built a long standing friendship, It will not be forgotten! You guys will continue to excel, best to you in the future! To Norway I’m gonna say I’ll miss you guys a lot and thank you for having let me partake as part of your community, I have really enjoyed these 2 years along you guys and have met some amazing people. Norway has provided me with many opportunities that I might not have otherwise have tried out. Thanks to everyone out there!
