[MoHA] No Belgian Left Behind!

Day 880, 21:58 Published in Belgium Belgium by eBelgian Foreign Affairs

Dutch version here

Recently there has been a large influx of citizens to Belgium. I hesitate to call it a baby boom but it is certainly significant. Many people have come here after hearing eRepublik advertised on Studio Brussels or after reading the article published on www.jeuxvideo.com. Regardless of the source, each new Belgian citizen is an opportunity for our country to gain an active, informed citizen who contributes to the common good.

This influx of citizens, however, is completely worthless if none continue to play. We all know how easy it is to be overwhelmed in the first few days of eLife. New citizens need experienced players to take an interest in them and show them the ropes in their own language.

The Ministry of Home Affairs together with the Ministry of Communication are working overtime to message new citizens and mentor them, providing moving tickets, gifts and excellent advice. However, more is needed.

Current MoHA Gibberish45 greeting a new citizen

We need each and every citizen to do their part for their country and contact a new citizen. Send a friendly message, be a gift partner, explain hospital use and above all, refer them to citizen.info. There they can find useful advice, free moving tickets and gifts and most importantly receive a mentor in their own language.

eRepublik can be overwhelming at first but every one of these new players deserves a chance to find the joy that we have in this game. That joy resides in player interaction and online friendship. These babies are tomorrow's congressmen, party presidents and prime ministers. Let's do our best to assist them through the difficult first days and make Belgium a better place.

Together we will make sure no Belgian is left behind!
